Shroomish is a Grass-type Mushroom Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that evolves into the Grass- and Fighting-type Breloom once it reaches a specific level. Based on lore, Shroomish dislikes harsh sources of light and tends to stay in shaded areas, such as the base of cliff walls or beneath trees. While it is unknown if this characteristic is present in Scarlet and Violet, Shroomish typically does not spawn out in open areas with no form of shade from the sun. Instead, Trainers will encounter the mushroom wandering near tree trunks or by the walls of ridges, where the dim light is most comfortable for the sentient fungal creature.

Shroomish appears in two primary locations on the Paldea world map of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The first spot is the majority of the South Province (Area Five), which is quite close to the starting city of Mesagoza. Trainers who have explored this area will know that it is divided into rugged grasslands in the south and mountainous sandy badlands to the north. The second location where this Mushroom Pokémon might spawn is the West Province (Area Three). This zone contains the city of Cascarrafa and the smaller settlement of Medali.

Finding Shroomish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Shroomish Encounter at its Habitat Map Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Unlike Eevee, Shroomish is not a rare spawn in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Trainers will eventually encounter one if they explore the South Province (Area Five) or the West Province (Area Three) for enough time. Nevertheless, if players have thoroughly searched through both regions but still cannot find this Mushroom Pokémon, it might be a good idea to enjoy a scrumptious sandwich.

More specifically, QM Games states that the Klawf Claw Sandwich, Great Klawf Claw Sandwich, Ultra Klawf Claw Sandwich, Ultra Curry-and-Noodle Sandwich, and Master Tofu Sandwich offer a buff that increases the Encounter Power of Grass-type pocket monsters. Accordingly, snacking on one of these meals will doubtless increase the chances of finding Shroomish.

Once Trainers have found Shroomish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they can attempt a quick capture with an Ultra Ball or Quick Ball or weaken for a higher capture rate. As a Grass-type Mushroom Pokémon, Fire-, Ice-, Poison-, Flying-, and Bug-type Moves are Super Effective against it in combat.

Of course, players should be careful not to deal too much damage in Scarlet and Violet and cause it to faint. Once captured, Shroomish can be evolved into the Grass- and Fighting-type Breloom by leveling it to Level 23 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
