On January 30th, players were able to participate in the "Nothing to Sneeze at" Timed Research event. During this event, players were able to complete tasks to get Sneasels to appear. On the off chance, players were able to find a Shiny Sneasel. The Pink Shiny Pokemon are amongst the best looking in the game and this was the best way for players to obtain one. Although, this event is now over, making it a bit more difficult to find Shiny Sneasel, but not impossible. This guide will show players where they can find and capture a Shiny Sneasel.
Where To Find (& Catch) Shiny Sneasel in Pokemon Go
The best way to find a Shiny Sneasel would be to try and get as many Sneasels to appear in general. Checking them individually will have the off-chance of it being a Shiny Pokemon. Although, find a Shiny Pokemon is extremely rare so players will need to be patient when hunting one. To increase your chances, make sure to pay attention to the weather when it snows. If it is snowing in the game, the spawn rates of Ice-type Pokemon will be increased.
Not only that but players can use a Glacial Lure to increase the spawn rates of Ice-type Pokemon for 30 minutes. These are fairly rare so to save a bit of time, the best thing to do would be to purchase them using 200 PokeCoins in the shop. Players can use their real money or the coins they earn from holding Gyms. Regardless, it is currently unknown if another event will be taking place any time soon surrounding Sneasel. The Timed Research event was the best way to obtain one. Maybe an event will happen in the future to celebrate all Johto Pokemon.
