The Galar region is full of new and exotic Pokemon for trainers to capture. Dragapult is this generations 'pseudo legendary' Pokemon. Every generation has a version of their own. This basically means that while the Pokemon may have stats similar to that of a legendary Pokemon, it does not rank amongst one of the legendary Pokemon. They typically can only be found towards the endgame areas of each Pokemon generation and typically consist of Dragon-type Pokemon. Dragapult is similar to Pokemon like Dragonite and Salamance in that way. Here's how players can find Dragapult in Pokemon Sword & Shield.

Where To Find Dragapult in Pokemon Sword & Shield

Dragapult and its entire evolutionary line can be extremely challenging to naturally come across. Trainers can find this Pokemon out in the Lake of Outrage. Players can only access this location once they have the bike upgrade that allows them to cross bodies of water. Dragapult's line has a 1% chance of appearing in the wild during an overcast and a 2% chance during a Thunderstorm of Fog. Dragapult itself is unavailable to find naturally in the wild. Trainers would need to level up a Dreepy to level 60 to evolve it to its final form. Trainers can change the weather in the game by changing the date on their Nintendo Switch settings. There's not much to do but wait for one to spawn in the overworld. Once it does, use a Quick Ball to quickly capture it in one turn.

Dreepy and Dragapult are one of the coolest Pokemon to come from this generation of Pokemon. When it isn't battling, it keeps Dreepy in the holes on its horns. Once a fight starts, it launches the Dreepy like supersonic missiles. Apparently the Dreepy inside Dragapult's horns eagerly looks forward to being launched out at Mach speeds. This Pokemon is an excellent addition to any trainer's team.
