World of Warcraft has been the quintessential MMORPG for many players since its release in 2004. Over the past 17 years, the world of Azeroth has gone through dramatic changes. New content is added to WoW regularly through patches and purchasable expansions for the base game. Players may appreciate new content for beloved games; however, with new content comes major alterations. Players who yearn for the early days of World of Warcraft can relive their cherished online experiences through World of Warcraft Classic, a recreation of the original Azeroth from 2004.

World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic recreates the first WoW expansion’s impact with new areas and content to enjoy. WoW Classic players can now level up a character to level 70, choose from the Draenei and Blood Elf races, acquire various flying mounts, and access new areas using the Dark Portal to the Outland. In the center of the Hellfire Peninsula in the Outland, players will encounter Hellfire Citadel, a new dungeon raid. The second wing of the Hellfire Citadel, Blood Furnace, can be a bit confusing to find without proper directions. Luckily, the Blood Furnace entrance does not need to be unlocked like other Hellfire Citadel encounters. Here’s how to find the Blood Furnace entrance in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic.

How to Find The Blood Furnace Entrance in WoW: Burning Crusade Classic

Once players have made their way to the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands and get transported to the Outland in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic, there are seven large, interconnected zones to explore. When players first go through the Dark Portal, they will be spawned in the Hellfire Peninsula. The Hellfire Peninsula, a zone recommended for players level 58 to 63, is a barren wasteland where Orcs systematically killed Draenei during their war in Draenor. After the Orcs brought their war to Azeroth, Draenor was fractured and became a volatile region known as Outland. Hellfire Peninsula is one of the remaining spaces of habitable land in the Outland.

In the center of the Hellfire Peninsula zone, players can access Hellfire Citadel. The Hellfire Citadel contains several encounters and boss fights for players to tackle with their parties. The second wing of the Citadel contains the Blood Furnace encounter. To access it, players will need to travel along Hellfire Citadel's ramparts.

The Hellfire Citadel has a perimeter wall that runs around the building itself. If players start at the southernmost portion of the wall, the Southern Rampart, and run straight along it, heading north, there will be a portion of the wall with two firepits spewing green fire. These green flames mark the entrance to the Blood Furnace in the Hellfire Citadel. On the map, the Blood Furnace entrance can be found around the bottom left of the Hellfire Citadel tower symbol, just above the horizontal wall. Enter the portal between the green flames to travel through the Blood Furnace entrance in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic.
