The Final Fantasy series has leaped around with its genres over the last few decades. In the beginning, many of their titles were considered turn-based RPGs, where enemies and the players would take turns attacking each other. In recent history with titles like Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy VII Remake, the game has shifted more towards an action-RPG, where real-time strategy is the new of the game. Final Fantasy XIV, being the fourteenth entry of the mainline titles is completely separate, being an online multiplayer game. Here's how players can unlock the Unreal Trial in Final Fantasy XIV.

How To Unlock The Unreal Trial in Final Fantasy XIV

Races of Eorzea in Final Fantasy XIV

To unlock the Unreal Trial, the player needs to complete the "Fantastic Mr. Faux" mission in Idyllshire. It is recommended to be about level 80 when completing this mission. Completing the mission will unlock the Unreal Trial which opens up a mini-game that players can do only once a week. Here, players can spend their time battling against Shiva, a reoccurring summon in the Final Fantasy series. This trial is only available with this patch and will likely be cycled out with a next big update so do it as soon as possible so you don't miss it.

The game continues to evolve through expansions released by Square Enix. From Heavensward to Stormblood, to Shadowbringers, each new expansion comes along with new areas to explore, new clothing for characters, and new bosses to challenge. The best part of it all is that players can experience most of the game with their friends. The feeling of adventure has never been this high for the Final Fantasy series. Hopefully, more mainline titles will feature ways for players to experience the game with friends. Those are the strongest memories a player can make playing any title.
