Elpis is undoubtedly one of the more stunning locations in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, and to fully experience its aerial landscapes via flight, players will need to attune to the ten Aether Currents dotted throughout the area. The zone is divided into three sections that players will be able to access during the MSQ through teleportation devices. Endwalker fans can gradually unlock each portion of the map by completing the Final Fantasy XIV main quests "Travelers at the Crossroads" and "A Flower Upon Your Return."
Players should also make sure they fulfill the five side quests within Elpis that automatically unlock Aether Current attunement. However, as mentioned above, these optional quests and their locations will only become accessible as the story progresses. If FFXIV fans are having difficulty at any time finding the next nearest Aether Current, they can activate their Aether Compass. Since the release of Endwalker, this Key Item has been moved to the Collections Menu but still can be assigned to a hotbar slot.
The first Aether Current in Elpis can be found on The Mourning Dew at X: 34.0, Y: 23.6, Z: 1.6. This platform is located on the far east side of Philomythes Notos. Elpis's next current location in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is slightly north of the Anagnorisis Aetheryte at X: 24.5, Y: 21.5, Z: 1.6. While still on the main area of Philomythes Notos, head southwest to X: 18.6, Y: 32.4, Z: 1.3, where an Aether Current sits between two pillars near the edge. Next, players can attune to the Aether orb on a small hill east of The Twelve Wonders Aetheryte at X: 11.8, Y: 31.3, Z: 1.3. Another current can be discovered to the north of The Twelve Wonders between two small slopes at X: 6.3, Y: 29.7, Z: 1.2.
Where to Find Elpis Aether Currents in FFXIV: Endwalker
After Endwalker fans make it to Kallimelios Zephyros, they attune to another Aether Current slightly northeast of Southerly Zephyrneus at X: 16.3, Y: 20.7, Z: 3.0. Next, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker players can head to the middle bottom of the Kallimelios Zephyros and find a current near a large tree at X: 10.3, Y: 24.9, Z: 3.1. In this same area, a third Aether Current is located on a waterfall west near Peripeteia Krystalline at X: 6.2, Y: 19.3, Z: 3.2.
The fourth Aether Current in Zephyros is on the back right of a towering statue at X: 13.6, Y: 15.6, Z: 3.3. The last current in Elpis is located near the Ktisis Hyperboreia Dungeon on Ethoseletikos Boreas. It can be found under two trees at X: 13.4, Y: 7.6, Z: 4.8. Once players have found all the Aether Currents and completed the required side quests for attunement, they will be able to fly their Mount in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker's Elpis zone.
