In Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the Enemy Skill Materia is used to steal abilities from enemies in the world to be used against them. In the original Final Fantasy 7, the Enemy Skill Materia had a ton of abilities that each had its usefulness and enemies to learn the abilities from. In Final Fantasy 7 Remake, equipping the Materia can only be done by one character, and getting it is only by finishing off Chadley's Intel Battle Report #18.

There are four abilities to take from enemies to fill out the game log and each ability is an offensive one with their positives and negatives. There are a few different ways to get each so we'll outline the easiest ways to get them. Be mindful that only the character with the Enemy Skill Materia can get the ability so it's best to equip it on the main character being used and not the other two. The Chapter Select option will come in handy here so be sure to finish the game first to save some time. Also, one last bonus is getting all four will get the elusive Master Of Mimicry PS4 Trophy.

How to Get the Algid Aura Enemy Skill in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Cerulean Drake

The Algid Aura is similar to having the Ice Materia linked with the Element Materia where the weapon equipped gets Ice damage. The extra ability on top of this combo that the Algid Aura gives is that it surrounds the player in an ice aura that damages enemies as well as the player too. To get this ability it's gotten by the Cerulean Drakes when they cast Icy Aura. A great place to get this is in the Two-Person Team Vs. Team Payback.

How to Get the Spirit Siphon Enemy Skill in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Phantom

To get the Spirit Siphon, the best location is in Chapter 14 when doing the Missing Children side quest or the VR simulator. The enemy is going to be the Phantom, and they will use the Essence Drain ability to try to get health back so take the opportunity when it siphons health from the character with the Enemy Skill Materia to learn this one. This is a handy skill for the player to have where, as an ability, HP can be absorbed from an enemy. Very handy for characters that need a quick HP boost.

How to Get the Self-Destruct Enemy Skill in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Smogger

Similar to Dragon Ball Z's Saibamen blowing themselves up, this ability is used as a last-ditch effort to finish off an opponent in the spirit of self-sacrifice. Make sure this character doesn't have the Revive Materia on or it's going to be a bad time for the rest of the party. To get this ability, the best location is going to the VR simulator and do the Three-Person Team Vs. Team Ragbag and get the Smogger to cast Apoptosis or the Trypapolis to cast Self-Destruct and you can learn it from either fairly easily.
