Hollywood celebrity Ryan Reynolds has made waves in the football world in the last three years and can now be found hidden in FIFA 23. Movie star Reynolds hit the headlines in 2020 when alongside fellow celebrity Rob McElhenney the duo purchased Welsh football side Wrexham AFC who play in the English fifth division and are one of the best teams to use in FIFA 23 career mode. Wrexham was added to FIFA 22 as a team under the 'Rest of the World' banner and the club are once again part of the game for FIFA 23. However, players have recently discovered Easter Eggs from Ryan Reynolds hidden within the commentary.
Gamers have found that by playing a match in any mode, such as kick-off, between Wrexham and Liverpool leads to hidden commentary lines. Following the initial pre-match introduction from commentators Derek Rae and Stewart Robson it is handed over for a word from the Wrexham duo. "This is a big club versus a very small giant club, massive versus just a minuscule improvisational version of a football club of course we're talking about Liverpool." Says Reynolds and McElhenney. Easter eggs aren't a common feature in FIFA, but for the first time, the series has also featured a fictional team in AFC Richmond for FIFA 23 from TV show Ted Lasso.

Since buying the club Reynolds and McElhenney have launched the TV series, We Are Wrexham, which has helped increase publicity for the club around the world showing the team in league action. Stockport County and Wrexham played in the same division last season, the National League, with County winning promotion to League Two ahead of the Welsh side. A second Easter Egg has been found if players set up a game between the two sides.
Rob and Ryan again make a comment at the start of the game, this time highlighting the rivalry between the two sides shown in the documentary. Despite being a Rest of the World side, Wrexham players can be featured in FIFA 23 Team Of The Week promotions.
Easter Eggs are common in a huge variety of gaming genres but aren't often found in sports games. The two commentary clips are the first two Easter Eggs players have discovered so far in FIFA 23, with the series not known for such hidden items. However, as gamers try playing more matches with Ryan Reynolds Wrexham side in the coming weeks on FIFA 23 against different teams more are sure to be discovered.
