FIFA 22 is set to launch on October 22, and EA Sports is placing an emphasis on what the game can do on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with its new Hypermotion Technology. This tech aims to make the game feel more real than ever before, as it captures animations and techniques through mocap from real-world players. While gameplay is where FIFA will live and die with most fans, EA is also bringing back one key feature that could inject new life into FIFA 22's Career Mode.

Create A Club is a feature that previous FIFA titles had, but was dropped during the PS4 and Xbox One era. With Create A Club back in FIFA 22, that dream of building up a team from scratch is now possible again. EA hasn't revealed the exact details for the feature yet, but it has said that players will be able to create unique kits, stadiums, and badges to help outfit a club.

That complete control over how a team looks is likely exciting for long-time players. In the last few years, many started their FIFA careers with teams in a lower division and worked their way to the top of the soccer world. However, during that journey, they kept playing games in dingy stadiums with a kit that never changed. This hurt the feeling of progression, as they'd be playing against teams like Manchester City or Liverpool in a stadium that only seats 5,000 people or less. That's not too unheard-of in something like the FA Cup, but feels out of place in the midst of a normal Premier League match between two teams fighting for the top of the table.

Create A Club Is A Big Upgrade For FIFA 22 Career Mode Players

FIFA 22 Bellingham Ball Chested

In theory, FIFA 22's Create A Club feature should alleviate that. It's not a gameplay tweak, but it might be more important for players looking to replicate the dream of running a soccer club. Now, they'll not only be recruiting and training players, but also changing the colorways on the jersey and making the stadium truly pop on game day. Those niche additions might not sound like much to some players, but are exactly what many FIFA 22 Career Mode players want. As multiple games in the past have shown, many players simply love to feel like they're actually running a soccer club, and FIFA's Create A Club does that better than anything else the series has ever done.

Of course, it's worth remembering that EA hasn't fully revealed everything coming with the new FIFA Create A Club mode. The feature sounds like a breath of fresh air for FIFA 22's Career Mode, but EA could ruin it if it isn't committed to giving players all the tools they need to make it feel fully featured. If it can knock this out of the park, EA might finally make Career Mode fans happy again.
