Patch 6.1 of Final Fantasy XIV marks the start of a new story for the game, including both a new Main Scenario questline and a new unlockable alliance raid, Myths of the Realm. Myths of the Realm is a highly anticipated addition to FFXIV in Patch 6.1, taking players on a journey revolving around the human gods. With the story revolving around Hydaelyn and Zodiark completed with the release of the Endwalker expansion, there are still unresolved mysteries and story threads. The new alliance raid, Myths of the Realms, tackles one of those mysteries head-on.

The newest alliance raid of FFXIV explores the origins of the human gods, a mystery embedded in the game since the original final boss of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The interest of players in the human gods is only further sparked as players find out about a connection between themselves and the gods during the Main Scenario questline. This makes the exploration into these gods not just a worthy adventure, but also a personal endeavor for the player's character. FFXIV's Greek-inspired designs for the gods take center stage in this newest content, as players endeavor into the unknown.

Myths of the Realms is categorized as an Alliance Raid, a specific type of content available in FFXIV. Alliance Raids are casual-friendly 24-player instances where players must tackle around 6 encounters back-to-back. Players who make it to the content of Patch 6.1 will already be familiar with this type of content, as the Crystal Tower alliance raids are required content. However, unlike most of the other alliance raids that have been released before, Myths of the Realms is entirely original content specific to the lore of FFXIV. Story buffs, glamour hoarders, and gameplay enthusiasts will all want to join in the fun.

Where to Unlock Myths of the Realms Alliance Raid in FFXIV

Final Fantasy XIV Myths of the Realm Unlock Fresh Faced Student

To unlock this recent release in FFXIV's patch 6.1, players will be required to progress through the added Main Scenario questline. Specifically, players will need to progress to the completion of 'A Brother's Greif,' after the completion of the patch's new dungeon, in order to proceed. Near the completion of this quest, players will be notified in-game of their ability to accept a new quest in Old Sharlayan. Players looking to jump into this alliance raid will want to travel back to the home of the Students of Baldesion.

The quest to unlock Myths of the Realms is called 'A Mission in Mor Dhona'. Players can acquire 'A Mission in Mor Dhona' from the Fresh-faced Student in Old Sharlayan (X: 9.1, Y: 11.5). Continuing through this questline will allow players to join the Myths of the Realms alliance raid near the questline's conclusion. With Final Fantasy XIV's Hatching-tide event, the release of a new housing district, exciting storylines, and a new end-game trial and alliance raid, players will not have a lack of content during the first few weeks of Patch 6.1.
