First-look images from the upcoming miniseries Fellow Travelers show love blossoming between Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey. Bomer first rose to prominence as the lead in the FBI procedural series White Collar, has also played Ken in the Magic Mike trilogy, and held several roles on various seasons of American Horror Story. Bailey has held roles in quite a few UK-based series including Crashing and Broadchurch though he is best known for being a part of the Bridgerton cast, playing the eldest Bridgerton son Anthony, whose love story was the central plot of season 2.

Vanity Fair shared an exclusive first look at Fellow Travelers. The three images reveal a steamy romance that unravels between Bailey's character Tim Laughlin and Bomer's character Hawkins Fuller after they meet in 1950s Washington D.C. The collection includes images of the pair about to kiss in a dimly lit bar and frolicking on a beach. Check out the gallery below:

Fellow Travelers is set to premiere on Showtime soon, though it does not have an official release date yet. The series, which is based on the 2007 Thomas Mallon novel of the same name, will track the couple's relationship across major U.S. historical events including the McCarthy era, the Vietnam protests, and the AIDS epidemic. It was created by Ron Nyswaner, a writer and producer on previous Showtime hits Homeland and Ray Donovan.

In addition to Bomer and Bailey as the leads, the miniseries boasts a robust ensemble cast. The third lead role of Lucy Smith will be held by Allison Williams, who is best known for her roles in Girls and Blumhouse's M3GAN. The cast also includes Jelani Alladin, Noah J. Ricketts, Linus Roache, Will Brill, and Chris Bauer as McCarthy.

Now that Fellow Travelers has offered a first look, the publicity machine is likely going to keep rolling. This means that a full trailer could be coming soon, followed by a release date. While it remains to be seen when exactly audiences will be able to view the epic LGBTQ+ romance, these early images promise a star-studded affair that is sure to tug at the heartstrings.
