It looks like Dwight, the newest cast member to join Fear The Walking Dead after a stint on AMC's original series, will soon be reunited with Sherry, another member of the The Walking Dead cast. Fear The Walking Dead had something of a soft-reboot in recent seasons, one which saw another The Walking Dead alumni, Morgan, crossing over into the newer show and becoming a lead character. While the show still hasn't solved all of its problems, Fear The Walking Dead continues to try and distinguish itself from its progenitor and still offer an entertaining and engaging experience for viewers.

Some of Fear The Walking Dead's changes have worked, and some haven't. Many people feel like the decision to kill off Logan in FTWD's fifth season was a bit premature, and many fans are still eagerly awaiting the return of Madison, one of the show's original characters. However, a new image shows that the next returning character to the series won't be from Fear The Walking Dead, but from the original.

Recently, Fear The Walking Dead's official Twitter page shared an image of Dwight and Sherry holding hands with the caption "Is this a dream, or a reunion?" The image, which is embedded below, shows both characters looking into the camera and is likely a promotional one, something which gives very little information as to the actual context of how these two characters will be reunited.

Interestingly, most of the comments below the image are fans talking about how the only reunion they want is one between Madison Clark and her daughter Alicia. The Clark's family dynamic was a large part of the first few seasons of Fear The Walking Dead, and although Madison seemingly died previously in the series many fans are still keen to see her character return. For whatever reason, fans seem less enthused about the concept of Dwight reuniting with Sherry, a character from the original The Walking Dead show.

Fear The Walking Dead will likely never reach the same viewership peaks that its sister show did during its most popular period, but The Walking Dead itself will likely never reach those heights again either. While secondary characters like Morgan and tertiary characters like Dwight can be transferred from show to show, the core relationships viewers forged with the Grimes and Clark families were part of the reason they continued to tune in every week, and as both shows move farther away from those premises it will be interesting to see just how long they continue to sustain enough viewers to justify their own existence.
