Take a look at these brand new images from Fear The Walking Dead season 6. Even by zombie apocalypse standards, Fear The Walking Dead's fifth season ended in a dark place. With Morgan barely clinging to his life, the entire protagonist group divided, and the villainous Ginny standing tall, there was barely any time to celebrate the wedding of John and June. Thankfully, Fear The Walking Dead season 6 isn't too far away, and the premiere episode is set to land on October 11th, one week after the delayed season finale of The Walking Dead season 10 and the opening installment of brand new spin-off, The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

AMC has already released a pair of exciting trailers for Fear The Walking Dead season 6, teasing plenty for fans to plunge their rotting teeth into. Morgan's fate has been the biggest point of discussion. While Lennie James' character is confirmed to have survived, Morgan's eyes turn a foreboding shade of red as he struggles to bear the injuries Ginny left him with. Unhappy at leaving a job half done, Ginny hires a mysterious bounty hunter to finish Morgan off, but the Pioneers' leader has problems of her own, as a brand new group of masked villains (or, potentially, allies) are joining the fray. With Dwight finally set to reunite with Sherry, and rumors of major returns in the air, there's plenty happening in Fear The Walking Dead season 6.

These images reveal several salient details regarding Fear The Walking Dead season 6, but undoubtedly the most fascinating picture is Morgan's. Giving fans their clearest glimpse yet at the state Morgan finds himself in, the usually resolute figure looks weak, frail and liable to drop dead at any moment. His hair growth suggests some time has passed since season 5's finale (Scott M. Gimple has confirmed time jumps are coming), and Morgan is clearly a shell of the man viewers know and love from The Walking Dead.

Another image depicts one of the aforementioned hockey mask villains holding a gun to Althea's head. It's still not clear what these folks want in Fear The Walking Dead, but this shot supports the idea that they're no friends to The Pioneers. While an alliance between Morgan's group and the masked mystery mob is still possible, the two sides clearly start on the wrong foot. A standoff between John Dorie and Victor Strand is seen in one photo, and this feud was teased in one of Fear The Walking Dead's season 6 trailers. Perhaps Strand adapts a little too well to his new life. A final point worth noting is Alicia fiddling with a radio system very similar to the one Eugene uses in The Walking Dead. While Alexandria might be a little out of range, this image hints that Alicia is able to communicate with her friends, despite Ginny breaking the group up at the end of last season.

The likes of John, Luciana, and June are playing along with Ginny in Fear The Walking Dead season 6, at least at the beginning. But there's a clear undercurrent of discontent in both these images and the two trailers. The heroes are not where they want to be, and tension is brewing, while Morgan remains alone and vulnerable on the outside.
