Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Fear the Walking Dead season 6, episode 15, "USS Pennsylvania."

The trailer for Fear the Walking Dead's season 6 finale has been revealed, teasing a dramatic conclusion as tensions among the survivors reach nuclear proportions. Spun off from AMC's flagship adaptation of Robert Kirkman's Walking Dead graphic novels, Fear initially explored the early days of the zombie outbreak as a family fights for survival. Following a shift in showrunners in season 4, the series became both a prequel and companion story to the main series with TWD characters Morgan and Dwight crossing over as main cast members at different points.

The current season of the series has mostly centered on Lennie James' Morgan as he is shot and left for dead by the leader of the Pioneers, Virginia, and the rest of the group is separated and dispersed across her various settlements. After fighting to bring everyone back together, Morgan and the group also must face off against the threat of John Glover's Teddy Maddox, a serial killer from the '70s who now leads a Doomsday cult intent on exterminating all life on the surface of Earth. After explorations into his backstory, the last two episodes revealed his ultimate plan of launching nuclear warheads to achieve his goal.

AMC has debuted the trailer for the season 6 finale of Fear the Walking Dead following the jaw-dropping penultimate episode. With Teddy and Riley having successfully launched one nuclear missile with ten warheads targeted at various locations in Texas, the protagonist survivors must figure out what they can do to survive. The teaser can be viewed below:

The latest episode of the series was a tense one as the protagonists raced against time to stop Teddy and Nick Stahl's Riley from launching the nukes, but its ending, which saw them successfully launching at least one, has set up a tense finale. The trailer for the finale does a solid job of not giving away how the group intends to escape the multiple nuclear blasts.

With the season 6 finale of Fear the Walking Dead being titled "The Beginning," the story may not have an entirely depressing outcome. Plus, with it already having been renewed for season 7, which is set to arrive later this year, the outcome of this impending nuclear apocalypse will be seen soon enough. Thankfully, audiences won't have to wait for long for the continuation of the series.
