Fear the Walking Dead has finally explored the mystery of the group who abducted Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead season 9, which has led to even more questions. The connection that was teased in the Fear the Walking Dead season 5 premiere has now been paid off with an episode centered on Althea (Maggie Grace). Rescuing Al, who was kidnapped by the mysterious organization at the beginning of the season, was up until this point the primary goal of the main characters.

Fear the Walking Dead season 5, episode 5, "The End of Everything", reveals Al's whereabouts. The soldier in black is a woman named Isabelle who was on a mission concerning water purification. She is a member of a secret organization working to build a new future. They believe that their success relies on secrecy, and they will do whatever it takes to make sure their existence remains a secret. Al jeopardized that by capturing footage of their activities, which is the reason why she was taken.

After reluctantly working together to survive, Isabelle goes against "operational protocol" and decides not to kill Al. Instead, she convinces Al to stop chasing the story. At the end of the episode, Al lies to Morgan (Lennie James) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) about the helicopter, so that any potential conflict with Isabelle's people can be avoided. In contrast to previous episodes, "The End of Everything" solved more mysteries than it created by revealing a great deal of information about Rick and Al's captors. However, despite everything that was learned, there's still a few things that audiences still don't know about these people and their role on Fear the Walking Dead.

4. Where Did They Come From?

Some of the motives and methods of Isabelle's group have now been explored, but what they are actually called and where they came from still hasn't been touched upon. They have apparently been gathering resources and strengthening themselves into a powerful force for quite a while now, but how long has this been going on, and how did they even succeed in getting where they are now? It's possible that this organization existed in some degree prior to the zombie apocalypse.

3. What Are Reclamation Teams?

A picture of Althea crouched on the ground in Fear the Walking Dead is shown.

The person Isabelle was communicating with on the radio said he was sending a "reclamation team". Exactly what a reclamation team is isn't explained, but according to Isabelle, Al and her people should steer clear of the helicopter when the reclamation team arrives, which gives viewers a hint of what they're capable of. Based on the context, it's reasonable to assume that a reclamation team is a deadly squad of soldiers who shoots first and asks questions later.

2. Will They Return To Fear The Walking Dead?

Isabelle and her people already have what they need for their mission, so there may be no reason to see them again - or at least, not on Fear the Walking Dead. However, their story isn't over, and it will of course continue in The Walking Dead movies with Rick Grimes. This five-episode storyline on Fear the Walking Dead may have simply laid the groundwork for what comes next.

1. Will Al Eventually Reveal The Truth?

Al made a huge decision when she chose not to pursue the story of the people in the helicopter by lying to Morgan and Alicia. It's possible that at some point down the line - especially if the helicopter returns - Al will come clean and tell them what really happened with Isabelle. On the other hand, if Isabelle's organization never does return to Fear the Walking Dead, the truth may never need to come out.
