The latest episode of Fear the Walking Dead finally introduced the show's second crossover character from The Walking Dead, Dwight (Austin Amelio). Amelio exited The Walking Dead after the season 8 finale and the conclusion of the war with Negan. Dwight was exiled by Daryl over his past crimes, even though he helped Alexandria and the other communities defeat Negan and the Saviors. So after leaving Alexandria, Dwight set out to reunite with his wife, who disappeared after escaping Negan's grasp.

In Fear the Walking Dead season 5, episode 3, "Humbug's Gulch", John (Garret Dillahunt) and June (Jenna Elfman) are attacked by a mysterious stranger in a Wild West amusement park. The stranger turns out to be Dwight, who wrongly believes that John and June know the whereabouts of his wife. The two convince Dwight that they can help find her. Meanwhile, Luciana (Danay Garcia) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) continue their search for the missing children, who turn out to be responsible for the strange zombie roadblocks. After the group finds one of the children covered in blood, it's revealed that the child has been sent by the others to deceive Alicia and the other survivors.

Fear the Walking Dead season 5, episode 3, "Humbug's Gulch", introduces a new plotline involving Dwight and advances the story surrounding the three children. The answer to one mystery raises new questions that the series will likely address in the coming episodes.

4. Where is Sherry?

Sherry and Dwight in The Walking Dead

Sherry (Christine Evangelista) left the Sanctuary in The Walking Dead season 7 and hasn't returned, though she did leave a note for Dwight that was found in season 8. Dwight has been chasing after her ever since, but the trail has since gone cold. This means she's traveled from Virginia to Texas, and perhaps even further. It's not clear where she's going, or if she's still alone. It's possible that by the time Dwight catches up to Sherry, she'll be with a whole new group.

3. Who Are The Children Hiding From?

The children were unwilling to tell Alicia where they were when they were talking over the radio. According to Annie, other people were listening. Who are the children afraid of? This could have something to do with the people who took Althea (Maggie Grace) in the Fear the Walking Dead season 5 premiere, or it could just be part of the deception.

2. How Long Will Dwight Stick Around?

Morgan (Lennie James) didn't hesitate before welcoming Dwight to the group, despite his checkered history. While no one seems to have a problem with Dwight being around, it's unclear how long he'll stay. Dwight's first priority is to find his wife, but achieving his goal may not be the end of his time on Fear the Walking Dead. If and when he finds Sherry, the couple could choose to remain with Morgan's group.

1. What's The Point Of The Zombie Barricades?

In the season 5 premiere, the group was perplexed when they found zombies standing in the road, tied together with their intestines. Zombie heads have also been seen hanging about. The intention is clearly to scare people away. The children are behind the roadblocks, but their motivations remain a secret. What are the children protecting, and why are they going to so much trouble to ward off other survivors? They may simply prefer to be left alone, but chances are that it's much more complicated than that.
