A brand new trailer for the third season of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead has dropped with the promise of a chaotic and yet thrilling season. The spinoff to The Walking Dead hasn't hit the popularity heights of its parent show, but has still become a staple of the off-season and fans are eagerly anticipating Season 3.
There's definitely a lot of answers needed. By the time the sophomore year of the show ended, there were many loose ends in the story that have left audiences speculating throughout the series’ hiatus. Some of these cliffhangers finally have some sort of resolution thanks to a new teaser.
A new trailer for Fear Season 3 entitled "Chaos" has been released by ComicBook.com that highlights the mounting tension for the survivors in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. You can check it out above.
There's a lot of answers provided here, most pointedly Luciana's fate. During the Fear the Walking Dead season 2 finale, Danay Garcia's character was shot by an anonymous person, causing fans to wonder whether that will be all that it is from her newly introduced character. The La Colonio scout is seen very much alive in the trailer, although not really in tiptop shape.
You also got a new glimpse of Fear the Walking Dead newbies Troy (Daniel Sharman) and Jake (Sam Underwood) Otto who together with their dad, Jeremiah Otto Sr. (Dayton Callie) helm a ranch. Known as the Broke Jaw Ranch, it will serve as the base for post-apocalypse survivors. Of course, despite the fact that they offer what appears to be a safe haven for refugees, it feels like the ranch is every bit of dangerous if people are out in the wild. There's more to the Ottos than meets the eye, with the trailer showing the supposedly accommodating people having a penchant for control when it comes to their turf.
Like the original series, this year of Fear the Walking Dead looks to be capitalizing on the dangers that the living pose as much as the walkers. With the introduction of the Ottos and the personal struggles that the characters have to grapple with, the upcoming fight could be anything from overcoming one's own demons to defeating abusive and sadistic enemies. Needless to say, this storyline would make for a more interesting narrative than just outrunning zombies.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 3 is scheduled to debut on June 4, 9 pm ET, on AMC.
