[SPOILERS for those not caught up on Fear the Walking Dead season 3.]

-

A new featurette for Fear the Walking Dead includes footage for the back half of season 3 along with commentary from the cast. The video explains the battle between the Broke Jaw Ranch and the Native Americans was never resolved, and that the Nation is effectively taking over after Madison brokers a deal with their leader.

In the midseason finale of The Walking Dead spinoff, the conflict between the Broke Jaw community and the Nation finally came to a head. With so many lives on the line, Madison (Kim Dickens) decided that the best way to repair relations with the Nation leader Walker (Michael Greyeyes) was to kill Jeremiah Otto (Dayton Callie), with whom Walker had personal history. In a surprising twist, Nick (Frank Dillane) killed Jeremiah instead, despite the friendship that had developed between them over the course of the season. Jeremiah's death was a game-changing turn of events that allowed for at least a temporary truce with Walker.

EW has released a video that gives fans a look at the season's remaining episodes. The video also features comments from Fear the Walking Dead  executive producer Dave Erickson and the cast, telling viewers that "all bets are off" while introducing to the next major storyline. The back of the season is described by the cast as "dramatic" and "messy," with plenty of action and plot movement that will take the show "deeper into the apocalypse."

Alycia Debnam-Carey, who plays Alicia, says that there's a "leadership vacuum" in the ranch. Other cast members discuss how this affects the show going forward. Though Jake (Sam Underwood) will be the official leader now that his father is dead, Madison will be the one in control, and in typical Walking Dead  fashion, the characters at the ranch will not be united under the same goal, at least not initially.

Underwood says that a "split" forms between the main characters as they disagree on who to side with. A scene in the video also previews more family tension for the Clark family as Alicia confronts Madison over her dealings with Walker. Colman Domingo, who plays Strand, says that fans can look forward to the moment when the "families will be united in some way."
