Just released images from Fear The Walking Dead season 7 reveal a new character named Ali. Debuting in 2015 as a spin-off of the long-running AMC show The Walking Dead, the horror series centered on a family trying to survive immediately following the original series' zombie outbreak. The show eventually crossed paths with the original show with the appearance of Morgan Jones, played by Lennie James, an original cast member from The Walking Dead who joined the group of survivors in season 4.

The first part of season 7 hit the air on October 17, 2021, and followed Morgan's scattered group after the nuclear fallout caused by the murderous zealot Teddy Maddox (John Glover) at the end of season 6. Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) has set up a new community in an office high-rise called The Tower, complete with a well-armed militia and a host of new characters. The season 7 midseason finale ended with Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey), one-armed and suffering from an illness after being bitten by a zombie, warring with Strand and The Tower as they attempt to lead her followers to a mysterious sanctuary called Padre.

New images from the second half of Fear The Walking Dead season 7 (via ComicBook.com) reveal a new character named Ali. Dressed in all black and carrying a radio, Ali is seen standing over what appears to be a dead body in a empty room. It is unclear if Ali killed the individual or if he simply discovered the body and is calling to report the incident. Check out full the image of the new character below.

Fear The Walking Dead Ali Season 7 Full Picture

Ali will be portrayed by Ashton Arbab, a young actor known for his work on the daytime soap opera General Hospital. The new character is set to appear in episode 10, "Mourning Cloak," and is described as a Ranger trainee for Strand. Ali was previously mentioned by Strand in an earlier episode of the season when his partner Howard (Omid Abtahi) attempted to reach him at the armory.

Although it is unknown what role Ali will play in the upcoming story, other than that he is training to be one of Strand's Rangers, it is possible that the young man will be instrumental in Alicia's war against The Tower. If Ali has yet to be fully indoctrinated into Strand's new community, he may bear little loyalty to his new home and master. Morgan and Alicia are known to be compelling leaders and may provide a strong argument to Ali, convincing him to betray Strand and help the two take down The Tower. Fear The Walking Dead returns to AMC on April 17, 2022.
