Paramount Plus' TV series, Fatal Attraction, boasts a talented cast, with several well-known actors playing iconic characters, Alex Forrest and Dan Gallagher. Based on the 1987 psychological thriller of the same name, the Fatal Attraction TV series will see Alex Forrester and Dan Gallagher once again engage in a passionate but tumultuous rendezvous that soon turns deadly when Alex begins to harass Dan and his family after he breaks off their 'relationship'. Although the plot did face backlash for stigmatizing mental health conditions and perpetuating harmful stereotypes towards women, the 1987 movie ended up being nominated for 6 Academy Awards, with Glenn Close gaining her fourth "Best Actress" Oscar nomination.

For the Fatal Attraction reboot, Lizzy Caplan and Joshua Jackson have been cast in the leading roles, providing more complex and contemporary versions of Alex Forrest and Dan Gallagher. However, they aren't the only talented actors in the Fatal Attraction cast as several notable stars will also be joining them as a familiar or new character.

Lizzy Caplan as Alex Forrest

While Glenn Close played the complex Alex Forrest in the 1987 movie, Lizzy Caplan is taking the role this time around. Like many of her Fatal Attraction cast members, Caplan has an impressive filmography, playing the funny Janis Ian in Mean Girls, Marlena in Cloverfield, and magician Lula in Now You See Me 2.

Her credentials in television are also as extensive as she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for her role as Virginia Johnson in the drama Masters of Sex, and received critical acclaim for portraying the younger version of the iconic movie character, Annie Wilkes, in the Hulu anthology Castle Rock. While her comedic roles are highly entertaining, Caplan does seem to thrive more with the more complex characters.

Joshua Jackson as Dan Gallagher

Although Joshua Jackson got his big break playing Pacey Witter in the teen drama Dawson's Creek and Charlie Conway in The Mighty Ducks, the actor seems to have found his niche in darker and morally complex projects as he decided to take on the role of Dan Gallagher, a business person who jeopardizes his marriage as he begins an affair with Alex. He has also played Blaine Tuttle in Cruel Intentions, Peter Bishop in the sci-fi series Fringe, Cole Lockheart in the drama The Affair, and Dr. Christopher Duntsch in the dark crime anthology Dr. Death.

Her versatile film and tv credits show that she can adapt to any genre.
