Now that season 6 is streaming on Netflix, will Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 7 happen, or has Tony Toretto's story come to an end? The continued success of Universal's Fast & Furious franchise gave the studio confidence to further expand what started out as a street-racing series. On top of spinoff movies, Netflix and Dreamworks collaborated to develop the franchise's first animated series, Fast & Furious Spy Racers, with seasons 1-5 following Dominic Toretto's younger cousin and a group of racers who become spies, as they save the world from various threats.

After saving the world from a group of supersuit-enhanced villains in season 5, Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 6 brings Tony and the team together again to face a new type of threat. The group becomes entangled in a plot by a mysterious villain who steals top-secret and the most dangerous weapons Ms. Nowhere's secret agency possesses. This sends Tony, Echo, Layla, Cisco, and Frostee on a global adventure to uncover who is behind this threat and what they want to use these weapons for. It all leads to a confrontation between Tony's team and a powerful new enemy interested in reversing the effects of global warming by melting the ice caps.

Since the team once again manages to save the world from a catastrophe, the door is open for Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 7 to happen. This would allow the series to continue as Universal plots the end of the movie franchise with Fast & Furious 10 & 11. The future beyond Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 6 is already decided, though, and here's what is known about the spinoff show possibly continuing.

Fast & Furious Spy Racers Season 7 Isn't Happening

Netflix and Dreamworks previously confirmed that Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 7 isn't happening. The show enjoyed a successful six-season run in just two years, as the series debuted on Netflix in December 2019. Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 6 gives viewers even more of the characters than usual, though, as the final season was supersized to include 12 episodes instead of the usual 8-episode order. But just because the show has reached the end of its story, that doesn't mean this is officially the last time Tony, Layla, Cisco, Echo, Frostee, Ms. Nowhere, and others will be seen.

Can Spy Racers' Characters Return In Fast & Furious Movies?

Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 7 might not be happening, but the show's characters could potentially return in future Fast & Furious movies or spinoffs. It is unclear exactly when the series takes place in the franchise timeline, so Vin Diesel and other franchise producers will need to figure that out before bringing them back. Still, since family is a recurring theme of these movies, Tyler Posey could make a live-action appearance as Tony Toretto in a future Fast & Furious movie. He is older than the teenager he plays in the show, so a movie appearance would need to age Dom's cousin up a bit to make it work. Otherwise, someone like Renée Elise Goldsberry as Ms. Nowhere seems like a strong candidate to make the jump to live-action too.
