In light of Han's surprising appearance in the Fast & Furious 9 trailer, a fan made some hilarious edits on Sung Kang's Wikipedia page. The ninth main entry in the long-running auto-centric film series will bring Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) gang back together. This time, they go up against his secret brother, Jakob (John Cena), who's apparently working with Cipher - Charlize Theron's criminal mastermind/cyberterrorist who first appeared in F. Gary Gray's Fate of the Furious.

Aside from the usual suspects of Michelle Rodriguez's Letty, Ludacris' Tej, Tyrese Gibson's Roman, Nathalie Emmanuel's Ramsey, and Jordana Brewster's Mia, Fast & Furious 9 will also see the return of three Tokyo Drift characters. Spin-off standouts Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) and Earl (Jason Tobin) were both also seen working with the team. And as the trailer's final surprise, the much-anticipated blockbuster confirmed Han's return.

As elated as many Fast & Furious franchise fans are to see Kang back with the "family" in the Fast & Furious 9 trailer, it didn't long for people to point out how this poses some continuity issues. Han was supposedly killed by Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) at the end of Tokyo Drift (which takes place between Fast & Furious 6 and Furious 7). Given this, one fan decided to make fun of this glaring mystery by editing the actor's personal Wikipedia page to reflect his recent re-emergence in the F9 trailer. Snuck in between factual details like his Korean name and birthday, as well as his prominent role as member of the Fast saga, Han Lue, it also jokingly states that he's an "immortal being" in the film series. Check out the screenshot below:

The change was obviously done for laughs from fans of the Fast & Furious franchise. At the time of the writing, the necessary edits to remove the additional jab have been made, but not before some (including Screen Rant) managed to take a screen shot of the said Wikipedia page. Since fans last saw Kang in Fast & Furious 6, the actor has appeared in a myriad of other projects such as movies like Hollywood Adventures, The Free World, and Code 8. He has also appeared in Power, Magnum P.I., and Whiskey Cavalier.

Kang's Wikipedia page may have been changed to remove the extra joke about Han's return in Fast & Furious 9, but the mystery surrounding his return remains. While the joke essentially writes off his comeback, the movie still needs to explain how he's able to survive that car crash from Tokyo Drift. Going past that, it also needs to reveal what he's been up to the last few years since he was last with Dom and the whole squad. Considering that Justin Lin is back at the helm after directing Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast 5, and Fast & Furious 6, chances are that all of this will be addressed, and the long-overdue justice for what was done to the character will finally be served.
