Fast & Furious Comes To Zynga's CSR Racing 2

CSR2 Fast & Furious Update

Zynga's CSR Racing 2 will be adding new Fast & Furious content to the mobile drag racing game starting next week. CSR Racing 2 has already featured Fast & Furious characters in the past, and will be adding a huge swath of new themed events that will feature new cars, challenges, and storylines for players to engage with.

Fast & Furious will be a recognizable property for anyone with a passing interest in cars. The movie franchise has spawned several films, video games, and car decals over its history, and remains a popular draw for automobile enthusiasts. CSR Racing 2 is a popular drag racing game that offers a number of interesting features to its players, including an AR Mode, multiplayer functionality, and, of course, crossover partnerships that bring new content into Zynga's game when it needs to shake things up.

CSR Racing 2's newest Fast & Furious content will be rolled out over the next few fiscal quarters, and will launch its first in-game event on March 21st. That will be followed by two more additions the day after on March 22, and all three will carry over until April 4th. The first mission will be Hobbs' Heist, inspired by the character made famous by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Here's a look at all the different features that will be added to the game over the course of the next few seasons:

And here's the trailer for the new content:

The content, which will be delivered in a new update, will also roll out fixes that players have requested for some time. Zynga will be adding new ways to speed up timers in the game, and allow players to skip the delivery of cars and parts, which previously took up a decent amount of time for a mobile game many wanted to play on the fly. The development team also noted that game load times should be improved, and that the McLaren F1 car has been better balanced to have an appropriate speed.

There's a lot going on with the next few content updates heading CSR Racing 2's way, but bringing back Fast & Furious is sure to make fans happy. Better still, with some of the new functionality available in-game and an interesting take on mobile racing games, a partnership with Fast & Furious could mean even more players available for multiplayer modes.
