As if news of a possible future part for Keanu Reeves wasn't exciting enough, it's now been revealed that the cast of Fast and Furious 9 just got a little bigger - and badder - with the addition of rapper and Hustlers star Cardi B. The multi-hyphenate powerhouse is making "money moves" with an as-yet unknown role in the latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, which hits theaters in 2020.

Fast and Furious 9 reunites director Justin Lin with stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron (complete with a new look), and Helen Mirren. It was previously announced that John Cena would be joining up for the new film, and of course, Vin Diesel is also reprising his iconic role as Dom Toretto.

It was actually Diesel who officially broke the news about Cardi B coming onboard, via a video he posted to his Instagram from the UK, where filming for Fast and Furious 9 is wrapping up after returning from hiatus following a stuntman being seriously injured on set back in July. Diesel captioned the video "Last day in the UK!" and added the Spanish phrase "Pa mi gente," or "for my people." In it, Diesel shares that it is their 86th day of shooting, and Cardi B can be heard to say, "I'm tired, but I can't wait! I ain't gonna front: This is gonna be the best one."Cardi joining the cast also means another reunion: Yesterday, THR shared that reggaeton star Ozuna would also feature in Fast and Furious 9. Ozuna and Cardi B made musical magic together on DJ Snake's track "Taki Taki," which won "Song of the Year" at the Latin American music awards just last week.

Cardi B first rocketed to fame with her now-9x-Platinum single "Bodak Yellow," released the same year that The Fate of the Furious made Vin Diesel 2017's highest-grossing actor. In Hustlers, the triple-threat performer plays a stripper from the Bronx, which admittedly isn't much of a stretch. It'll be fun to see how this new role expands her range, tests her chops, and shows audiences a fresh new side of her to love.

If that tactical vest Cardi B's wearing in Vin Diesel's video is any indication, she's going to be kicking butt and taking names (and that's no surprise). It's definitely true that she likes to rap about the various fast and luxurious cars in her life, but will this movie put her in the driver's seat? And will she contribute to the soundtrack, maybe even collaborating with Ozuna once again? We'll just have to wait for more details to emerge as Fast and Furious 9 enters post-production.
