Han is returning to The Fast Saga for F9, and he's bringing along a new set of wheels. Sung Kang's character last appeared in 2013's Fast & Furious 6 after starring in three previous installments. The fan-favorite, who notably went by the alias of Han Seoul-Oh, was presumed dead after an explosive car crash first depicted in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. After retconning the franchise's timeline to further explore Han's character, his "death" came back into play in the sixth movie. Now that he's back with Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) crew, Han has the chance to show off his driving skills yet again.

As one of the best drivers depicted in the film series since his debut in Tokyo Drift, Han will surely be more than happy to assist in Dom's new conflicts. The missions have evolved, but the need for precision drivers remains the same. This time around, Dom is facing his younger brother, Jakob Toretto (John Cena), who hasn't been mentioned in the franchise thus far. With Cipher (Charlize Theron), Dom will need all the help he can get to help protect his fellow friends and family.

Han has driven several memorable cars in the Fast & Furious franchise, including the black and orange 1997 Mazda RX-7. The car was featured in Tokyo Drift as Han's primary vehicle before it was involved in the fiery wreck, which led to the character's presumed death. The Mazda was seen again in Fast & Furious 6 when the timeline linked to the events of Tokyo Drift, revealing Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) was the one who purposely T-boned Han's car. Along with Han's grand return confirmed in the first F9 trailer, the footage showed Han's new ride: a 2020 Toyota Supra. Though not a Mazda, the Supra pays tribute to Han's Tokyo Drift car with the orange and black paint job while also honoring another beloved character.

Fast and Furious 9 Han Car Dom Charger

Though Han's F9 car is a newer model, it's not the first time a Toyota Supra has been featured in The Fast Saga. Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) had an affinity for the Toyota model since 2001's The Fast and the Furious when he used an orange Supra as his signature car. Brian's orange Supra was eventually given to Dom to use as a getaway vehicle at the end of the movie before the cops arrived. Fittingly, Brian then used a 1995 Toyota Supra Mark IV in the character's farewell scene featured in Furious 7. In a way, Kang's new black and orange Supra honors both Han and Brian in the franchise.

The second Fast & Furious 9 trailer has also shed more light on the car's connection to the current plot. Aside from the presence of a Pontiac Fiero rocket car, F9 will feature magnetic cars. Han's Supra looks to be hooked up with the magnet tech as it drives alongside Jakob's truck-like convo vehicle as Dom used his car on the other side. It seems as though Han and Dom are attempting to use the magnets to keep the truck on the ground as Cipher attempts to ruin Dom's efforts with her own magnetized jet. It's unclear if the Supra will survive the sequence, but it's safe to assume Han will get behind the wheel of a few cars by the end of F9.
