Here's Rita Ora's brief appearance in Fast & Furious 6 explained. The original The Fast And The Furious was a modestly budgeted action thriller about a cop who goes undercover in the world of illegal street racing. Thanks to its high-octane setpieces and a charismatic cast of then up and coming actors - including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster - it became a surprise blockbuster. It would be difficult to recreate the franchise's twisted path to becoming one of the biggest movie series in the world, however.

By the time the third movie The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift hit cinemas in 2016, it focused on a new cast of characters and became the lowest-grossing of the saga. While this would usually signal the end, a brief cameo from Vin Diesel in Tokyo Drift's final scene got fans excited about his possible franchise return, so the original cast was reassembled for 2009's Fast & Furious. The franchise is now a box-office juggernaut that takes glee in going over the top and defying the laws of physics. Dwayne Johnson led his own spinoff with 2019's Hobbs & Shaw, while the next entry in the main series will be 2021's F9.

Fast & Furious 6 saw Dom and the rest of the Fast Family heading to London to take down a crew of villains headed by Luke Evans' Owen Shaw - which included Dom's presumed deceased wife Letty. Around the film's midway point Dom challenges Letty - who is suffering from amnesia following her "death" in the fourth movie - to a street race, which is headed up by Rita Ora's "Race Caller."

The name of Rita Ora's Fast & Furious 6 character is apt since that basically sums up her entire role. She sets up the race between Dom and Letty before counting them down. While the singer does a good job with the role it's fairly insubstantial and is the very definition of a brief cameo. Rihanna was reportedly considered for the part before being replaced by Ora, though this was never confirmed.

Following Fast & Furious 6 later entries in the series returned to London, though Rita Ora has yet to reappear in the franchise. Following F9 a tenth movie is supposed to wrap up the current saga, while Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are also set to return for Hobbs & Shaw 2 at some point. The series is entirely too successful to be retired completely, so it will be interesting to see what happens following part 10.
