A new video from Vin Diesel and Ludacris gives an update on the filming progress for Fast & Furious 10. Following Justin Lin's Fast & Furious 9, the Fast Saga's main storyline is down to its two final installments. Fast &Furious 10 will kick things off next year before the franchise finally caps off with Fast & Furious 11. And, despite some production hiccups, Diesel and Ludacris want fans to know that principal photography for Fast & Furious 10, also known as Fast X, is going well.

Dominic Toretto's "familia" is set to return on the big screen for Fast X, and this time, they will be facing a brand new villain in Jason Momoa's still-unnamed bad guy. Charlize Theron's Cipher is also confirmed to return and is likely going to be the overarching antagonist in this final stretch of the Fast Saga. Meanwhile, newcomers like Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior, Rita Moreno, and Alan Ritchson will be joining the car-centric franchise through the 10th main installment of the series, as well. Originally, Lin was meant to wrap up the Fast Saga after his comeback stint in F9. However, due to creative differences, he exited Fast X just around filming started and has since been replaced by Louis Leterrier.

As a producer in the Fast Saga, Diesel is known to regularly provide updates regarding what they are doing next in the franchise. Just in the last month, the actor has provided content from the set with Larson, Momoa, Melchior, and Mia Toretto actress Jordana Brewster. This latest video is special because Ludacris has been part of the franchise for almost as long as Diesel, so it's safe to assume that the pair are close friends in real life. While these social media posts may seem to be just a fun way of sharing what they're up to for Fast X, it's also extremely helpful in curbing concerns from fans on the heels of Lin's departure from the blockbuster. Somehow, seeing how Diesel and his co-stars appear to be having a blast is an indirect assurance that things are going well for the project.

While the video is meant to just be a snippet of the cast's life in-between takes for Fast & Furious 10, some details in Diesel's video reveal new story information about Fast X. Firstly, it seems like he and Ludacris are filming some scenes in the old Toretto home base. It's also curious why Diesel is sporting a name tag on his shirt, as it suggests that it may be a uniform of some sort.
