Vin Diesel is giving fans an update on the filming of Fast X in a new behind-the-scenes video with co-star, Nathalie Emmanuel. Written by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau, the upcoming sequel to F9 serves as the tenth main installment in the highly successful Fast & Furious franchise. Though details surrounding its plot have been kept under wraps, fans are already anticipating the return of series stars, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Charlize Theron, and Jordana Brewster, in addition to Diesel and Emmanuel. It was also announced back in April that Brie Larson would join Fast X in a mystery role after Jason Momoa was cast as the antagonist. As of now, the film is set to release theatrically on May 19, 2023.

Diesel has been updating fans along the way throughout the production of Fast X, confirming the film's title and revealing a first look at its logo a month ago. The actor has famously portrayed the character of Dominic Toretto since 2001, appearing in all but one of the franchise's main installments, and has played a large part in its success over the years. Diesel and the movie made headlines after he admitted he almost rejected the script when it excluded Jordana Brewster and, more recently, when its director, Justin Lin, left the project due to creative differences, a decision that led to rising production costs and speculation among fans.

Now, four weeks in, Diesel is offering fans a new update on the filming of Fast X in a behind-the-scenes video posted to his Instagram. Joined by Emmanuel, who plays Ramsey in the film series, he calls it "a miracle" that they are making this chapter and thanks the fans for their support, teasing that they are making something special for them. Fans should be excited to hear that the filming process is going well, especially following the departure of Lin, who was later replaced by Louis Leterrier. News of Lin's decision was still surprising, considering his involvement with other films in the franchise, not to mention his and Diesel's week one update. In an earlier filming update posted to Diesel's Instagram, the actor suggested that Fast X would be the best in the franchise, with Lin stating it felt like the "beginning of an epic ending."

Diesel's dedication to the Fast & Furious franchise is well noted and admired by fans, who certainly seem to enjoy his updates during the production of the latest entry. It will be interesting to see how much more of the film is revealed prior to its release and if the actor will continue posting updates on social media through out the production of the Fast and Furious sequel. Fans will be sure to keep an eye out for any more posts and can look forward to seeing Diesel in Fast X when it hits theaters next summer.
