Vin Diesel seems to have teased some Fast and Furious 10 details in a new video posted from an Italian Formula 1 race. The film, the first of a two-part finale to the core Fast saga, is scheduled to release in theaters on April 7, 2023. Like F9: The Fast Saga, Fast and Furious 10 will be directed by Justin Lin and will star Diesel alongside the likes of Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris.

Despite a concrete release date already having been set, few details about Fast and Furious 10 have been released. The end of F9 sets up a number of interesting plot threads, like the potential redemption of Dom Toretto’s brother Jakob (John Cena) and the ongoing threat of Cipher (Charlize Theron). With the final two films the saga planned to tie directly into each other, Fast and Furious 10 could end up being the most exciting entry in the franchise yet.

In a new video posted to Instagram, Diesel seems to tease some details about Fast and Furious 10. Filmed from the track of an Italian F1 race, the clip shows Diesel in a Fast and Furious tank top with the Toretto and O’Conner names on it under the word “brotherhood.” “The Race!! Big things coming...,” the caption reads, with “#FX #Italy #Leadwithlove #Toretto #Fastsaga.” Could Diesel be hinting that some F1 racing is in the future for Dom ad the rest of the Fast family?

The tank top itself could be coincidental, or it could be a clue that Brian O’Conner, Paul Walker’s character from the franchise, will be playing a bigger role in the story in Fast and Furious 10 than he has in the past few movies. Dom’s father, who finally got some flashback screen time in F9, was also a professional racer, and it would be fun if Dom got behind the wheel of a real race car in the next film.

Regardless of the potential story teases, the post seems to confirm something Diesel has hinted at recently – that the working title for Fast and Furious 10 is FX, or some variant thereof. Given the bizarre and inconsistent naming conventions the franchise has employed in the past, that seems quite fitting. Regardless of Brian’s role in the story or whether or not Dom ends up trying his hand at open-wheel racing, Fast and Furious 10 is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting films of 2023.
