Fast & Furious 10 star Tyrese Gibson is among the first to welcome Jason Momoa to the franchise's family following the Aquaman star's casting. Last year, the Fast & Furious franchise continued to show its might with the debut of F9, a new installment that brought the series to even greater heights - literally, as a couple characters even jetted off to space. F9 helped bring some much-needed life back into the box office when it arrived in June, and it showed there's still plenty of interest in Fast & Furious as it heads into its final two movies.

Currently scheduled to arrive in May 2023, Fast & Furious 10 is being positioned as the first in a two-part finale. Justin Lin returns to direct, and much of the original cast - from Vin Diesel to Michelle Rodriguez - is expected to star. Notably missing from Fast & Furious 10's call sheet is Dwayne Johnson, who has very publicly stated he will not return. This came after Diesel, in a similarly public manner, called on him to come back. While Johnson won't reprise his Luke Hobbs, the Fast family is getting a new member with Jason Momoa, who was officially cast on Friday.

Among the first to react to Momoa's hiring was Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the franchise. In the day following the Momoa announcement, Gibson took to social media to welcome him. "Yeaaaahhhhhh we outta here!!!!! Welcome to the #FASTFAMILY!!!!! @prideofgypsies Pluto here we come!!!!!!" he wrote alongside the same picture of Momoa used by the Fast & Furious account. It seems safe to say Momoa's arrival isn't ruffling any feathers. You can see Gibson's post down below.

Momoa's Fast & Furious 10 role is still being kept under wraps, but he's rumored to play the villain. If that is true, he'll follow on the heels of fellow A-listers Charlize Theron and John Cena, who filled in the antagonistic roles for the previous two installments. It remains to be seen if either of those actors will return for Fast & Furious 10, though Cena has expressed his interest in playing Jakob Toretto again. As of right now, plot details for the upcoming film are still being kept under wraps.

Momoa's casting is the Fast & Furious franchise's latest big name addition, and it's also the actor's newest major franchise. He already has the DCEU under his belt; just five months before he puts the pedal to the metal in Fast & Furious 10, he'll return to the world of superheroes with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. This is an exciting time for Momoa, and it sounds like his new co-stars are eager to work with him. Here's hoping we find out more about his role soon.
