Jason Momoa shares new details about his Fast X villain, teasing that the new character is very sadistic. After the financial success of F9: The Fast Saga last year, Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto and the rest of the gang are set to return for two final installments. The upcoming 10th entry in the Fast & Furious franchise already boasts a standout cast of new characters, featuring the likes of Captain Marvel's Brie Larson and The Suicide Squad's Daniela Melchior, in addition to Alan Ritchson, Michael Rooker, Rita Moreno, and others.

Little is known about the plot of Fast X, but it's been confirmed that Momoa will play the film's central antagonist. In addition to Momoa, Charlize Theron is also set to return, reprising her villainous role as Cipher from The Fate of the Furious, meaning the new film will likely challenge Toretto and his family like never before. Photos and videos from the set of Fast X have already provided fans with a few glimpses of Momoa's character, with one video from Diesel showing Momoa having a great time on set with a purple muscle car. Now, Momoa has shared a few more details about his new Fast X villain.

In a new interview with Variety, Momoa reveals that his new villain will be quite a departure from the past villains of the Fast & Furious franchise, teasing the character's "sadistic" nature. The actor explains that his eccentric villain, whose name has not yet officially been released, is also "androgynous" and that he is dealing with a lot of unresolved childhood trauma. Check out Momoa's full comment below when asked about his Fast X experience:

“Time of my life. I get to be the bad guy finally. I’ve been the good guy for a while. He’s very sadistic and androgynous and he’s a bit of a peacock… He’s got a lot of issues, this guy. He’s definitely got some daddy issues.”

Over the last nine films, the Fast & Furious franchise has featured a number of memorable villains, especially in later installments as the characters and their evil plans become more over-the-top. From Momoa's comment, it would seem that Fast X will feature the most extreme villain yet, with the actor specifically describing the character as a "peacock". It's not clear yet what types of issues, specifically, the villain will be working through, however, nor is it clear exactly what Momoa's character is trying to achieve or why.

While a lot of questions remain, the villain in F9: The Fast Saga (and the film, in general) proved mostly underwhelming to many fans, so hopes are high that Momoa's character can act as a course correction of sorts. With Fast X acting as the penultimate film in the mainline Fast & Furious franchise, it's also possible that Momoa's antagonist won't be defeated in the upcoming installment, but will actually be carried over into Fast & Furious 11 as well. Now about nine months away from the release of Fast X, it's likely that fans will be treated to a trailer in the coming months, providing the first official look at Momoa in the film.
