F9 star Jordana Brewster wants Eva Mendes to return in Fast & Furious 10. The Fast & Furious franchise is back with another ridiculous installment now that F9 is in theaters. It is the last film before the series' two-part finale, culminating in Fast & Furious 11. Over the years, the franchise has built up an impressive collection of talented actors. F9 continues to follow Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his main crew, but the series is always looking for ways to bring more familiar faces back.

With Universal already announcing plans for Fast & Furious 10 and Fast & Furious 11 to be the end of the series, fans are eager to learn who will be appearing in the sequel. Vin Diesel will obviously be back to star as Dom, with Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Nathalie Emmanuel expected to return as part of Dom's crew. The question that fans really want to know the answer to is who else from the Fast Saga will make appearances, especially after F9 included plenty of returning characters.

During a recent interview with Looper, Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto in the franchise, was asked who she wants to see in Fast & Furious 10. One of the answers she gave was Eva Mendes returning as Monica Fuentes. She debuted in 2 Fast 2 Furious and returned for a cameo in the post-credits scene of Fast Five. Now, Brewster wants her back for Fast & Furious 10.

(I think) bringing back Eva Mendes would be such a good idea. I think that would be really cool. I think the fans love seeing how we play with time and how all the different chapters fit in together. So for her to come back, I think would be really exciting.

Eva Mendes in 2 Fast 2 Furious

Eva Mendes' Monica Fuentes has been a fan-favorite character in the Fast & Furious franchise since 2 Fast 2 Furious. Many fans have been asking for her to return for years, but the Fast Five cameo is the best the franchise has done so far. That is likely no fault of the franchise itself, though. Mendes has seemingly retired from acting or taken an extended hiatus. Her last movie appearance was in 2014's Lost River, so Mendes just might not have the desire to get back in front of the camera for Fast & Furious or any movie.

If Fast & Furious 10 does manage to convince Mendes to return as Monica Fuentes, it will be fun to see how exactly she factors into the story. Mendes' last appearance saw Monica working with Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and telling him that Letty was still alive. She could return to the franchise to help reveal another character who previously died is still alive, such as Gal Gadot's Gisele. Monica could also be a good fit with Mr. Nobody's secret organization. In any case, hopefully Fast & Furious 10 treats fans to a surprise and includes an appearance by Mendes.
