Between all the car chases and espionage plots, the Fast And Furious franchise manages to pack in plenty of action scenes in each new installment. The majority of the action sequences that are scattered all over the franchise involve the use of guns or advanced weapons but a decent number of them are physical fights too.

The kind of work that Dom and his crew do requires the participants to not only be tough but also know how to fight since that can be the deciding fighter on whether one gets to go on more missions or die. Everyone in the franchise can drive well but the fight scenes make it easier to tell who is vicious and who is not.

Han Seoul-Oh

Han complains about robbing a fuel tanker in Fast & Furious (2009)

Han starts out as a member of Dom's crew but after the death of his girlfriend, Gisele, he goes back to his home city of Tokyo. There, he spends his days street racing before Mr. Nobody recruits him.

Ordinarily, Han prefers racing rather than squaring up with people. There is only a single scene where he makes use of his self-defense skills. Shoving Owen Shaw's sniper, Adolfson, into a jet engine is remarkable but in every other moment, he falls short. Even when Roman helps him out during a London underground brawl, he still fails to beat another Shaw henchman.

Cipher

Cipher inside her plane in The Fate Of The Furious

As one of the wealthiest Fast And Furious villains, Cipher has had some of the world's best criminals under her control. Additionally, she blackmails Dom into working for her but he manages to break free from her claws.

Cipher is more brains than brawn. She has only been in one fight scene and she chose to flee. For the most part, she prefers situations that enable her to rely on the muscle of others rather than those that require her own intervention.  It isn't exactly a bad way for an overarching villain to operate as it has mostly kept her from harm.

Roman Pearce

Roman and Brian take a breather after fighting in 2 Fast 2 Furious

Brian's childhood friend gets arrested for stealing cars and after spending years behind bars, he gets paroled so he can help defeat Carter Verone. He then joins Dom's crew.

Roman would rather crack jokes than beat up people. Brian even criticizes his skills after the two reunite by engaging in fisticuffs.  Since he has known Roman for years, fans will definitely take his word for it. The former convict has been in several situations where he needed to prove himself but couldn't. Martial arts expert, Jah, brutally beats him up and so does Enrique. Be that as it may, he is extremely good with weapons as he single-handedly guns down 14 military personnel in the fictional nation of Montequinto.

Tej Parker

Tej warns his crew at the NATO base after he spots Owen Shaw commandeering a tank in Furious 6

Tej is initially introduced as a mechanic and race referee but somehow acquires tech skills along the way. He, therefore, becomes the tech support guy for the team during missions.

Since he spends most of his time dealing with gadgets and computers, Tej only has one fight during his run in the franchise. But in it, he shows just why he needs to be swinging fists a lot more. When the team heads to Abu Dhabi, he demonstrates his proficiency in close quarters combat by landing successive punches on an armed security guard before elbowing him unconscious.

Mia Toretto

Mia fights one of Otto's henchmen in Fast 9

The youngest of the Toretto siblings initially chooses to stay away from the action, preferring to focus on her children. But after the reappearance of her brother Jakob, she becomes more than eager to hurt people.

Mia's numerous fight scenes in F9 are definitely a shocker since she was previously a reserved person, but all that is tied to actress Jordana Brewster's request for more action scenes. She brilliantly pairs up with Letty to fend of Otto's henchman and is very impressive during an attack on an armored truck. How she became so good is still a mystery but it should be presumed that her brothers Jakob and Dom trained her.

Letty Ortiz

Letty fights the Jordanian prince's bodyguards in Dubai in Fast & Furious

Letty has known Dom since she was a little girl and she has never stopped loving him. She dives into his chaotic world when she goes undercover for the FBI to expose Arturo Braga and never looks back.

Letty has been a part of numerous incredible fight scenes, memorably against Riley Hicks (Gina Carano) and Kara (Ronda Rousey), two characters played by famous martial arts experts. The fight against Kara is specifically the best way to measure Letty's skills since the leader of the Jordanian Prince's all-female bodyguard team is reported to have prevented hundreds of attempts against her boss' life. Still, Letty keeps up with her, with the fight ending in a draw.

Brian O'Conner

Brian in a prison cell in Fast and Furious 6

The former police officer transitions to criminal life when he chooses to help Dom. He then marries Dom's sister, Mia, and becomes a major part of his brother-in-law's operations.

Brian's lean stature hasn't stopped him from getting the better of larger men. That's because is he is very proficient in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Drug trafficker Romon Braga's henchmen struggle so much when dealing with Brian that the scene almost turns comical. Dom also puts a stamp on Brian's abilities by stating that fighting him is simply humiliating oneself. Other characters that have been defeated by Brian include Roman and the martial artist Louis Kiet, thus confirming his status as maestro.

Dominic "Dom" Toretto

Dom fights Shaw in the streets in Fast & Furious

Dom comes a long way, from a street racer and mechanic to one of the greatest heist orchestrators in the world — he's arguably the real villain of the Fast And Furious franchise. And on his rise to the top, he has engaged in plenty of physical altercations.

Dom stands out from other fighters because he can literally use any part of his body to knock out opponents. He demonstrates this by sending one of Owen Shaw's henchmen flying by merely giving him a headbutt. The force isn't limited to his head only as he also punches Deckard Shaw so hard during their street fight that he lands a few feet away.

Luke Hobbs

Dwayne Johnson fights Brixton's men in Fast and Furious Presents Hobbs and Shaw

The Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent is initially tasked with hunting down Dom and his team in Rio but ends up partnering with them. He then grows close to Shaw, becoming his partner in special ops missions.

Hobbs' size puts him at a disadvantage at times because it messes with his flexibility but it also blesses him with raw power. In what could be one of the cheesiest moments of the Fast And Furious franchise, he flexes his way out of an arm cast. Knocking him out is only but a dream to his opponents since his size makes him very stable. Scenes that best illustrate his abilities include the hospital fight with Hobbs and his first duel with Dom.

Deckard Shaw

Deckard Shaw fights while holding Dom's baby in Fast & Furious

The former military-officer-cum-MI6-agent becomes a mercenary after he falls out with his superiors, forcing them to send a kill squad after him. He comes after Dom and his men but finds himself working with them.

Shaw has won nearly every fight he has been in, which is a testament to his abilities. It takes a special kind of fighter to beat and kill dozens of baddies while holding a baby and Shaw does that inside Cipher's plane while ensuring no harm comes to Dom's child. He has plenty of other great highlights, including the prison break scene orchestrated by Mr. Nobody where he brutalizes the most hard-boiled criminals, as well as the street fight with Dom.
