Vin Diesel takes to social media to share a new image of Dominic Toretto, teasing the upcoming release of the trailer for Fast X. From its humble beginnings back in 2001, the Fast & Furious franchise is now bigger than ever, following the exploits of Dom (Diesel) and his crew of elite drivers as they pull off daring heists and thwart terrorist plots all while behind the wheel of some souped up cars. Fast X, which is directed by Louis Leterrier, is expected to serve as the second-to-last movie in the franchise for the core characters, which includes Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Ludacris), Han (Sung Kang), and Mia (Jordana Brewster).

After his previous social media post teased that the Fast X trailer will be released soon, Diesel has now shared a new image of Dom from the upcoming film, complete with the character's signature "Toretto" mechanic work shirt. The caption for the post affirms that the first trailer will drop "next month," meaning fans don't have much longer to wait before it's revealed what the 10th film in the franchise will actually be about. What Could Be Next For Vin Diesel's Dom in Fast X

While an official plot synopsis for the film has not yet been released, Fast X is shaping up to be the most ambitious entry in the franchise yet, if only because of the movie's impressive cast. In addition to the core crew and previous franchise players like Charlize Theron, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Helen Mirren, Fast X includes new characters played by Alan Ritchson, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, Daniela Melchior, and Michael Rooker. Jason Momoa is also slated to play a major role as the movie's main villain, with the actor already teasing that his character will be unlike any antagonist Dom has faced off against before.

Beyond the film's huge cast, little is known about the actual story of Fast X. As the penultimate entry in the Fast & Furious franchise, at least as far as the core members of the Fast Saga are concerned, it's likely that the movie will lay the foundation for Dom's big farewell in the following installment. With Dom's time in the franchise now ticking down, Fast X will probably feature even more of the signature, over-the-top action that the Fast & Furious movies have become known for, challenging Diesel's hero like never before. After F9: The Fast Saga dug a little deeper into Dom's tragic past, it's likely that the upcoming movie will also double down on the more emotional side of Diesel's character.

The movies in the Fast & Furious franchise have made no secret of the fact that, thematically, they're really all about family and the lengths you go to protect the ones you love. Dom has never hesitated to put his life on the line for Mia or any other Fast & Furious regulars and Fast X will probably push this to the extreme, with Momoa's villain potentially posing a serious threat to the members of Dom's crew. While many mysteries remain about Fast X, fans thankfully don't have much longer to wait before the film's first trailer reveals more of what's to come.
