The first official Fast X poster teases the end of the road. The long-running Fast & Furious franchise led by Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto is set to receive an epic two-part finale. The first of the two films is officially titled Fast X and releasing in theaters this spring, while the untitled eleventh installment is planned for February 2024. With Fast X's release speeding up, Universal's official marketing campaign will kick into high gear very soon, as various behind-the-scenes teases and set photos have trickled out in the past few months.
Now, the first official Fast X poster has been unveiled by Diesel on Instagram.
The poster shows Dom praying while clutching his signature cross necklace with the tagline, "The end of the road begins," superimposed over the image.
Everything We Know About Fast X
As a sequel to 2021's F9, Fast X will pick up following the events of the previous installment as Charlize Theron's Cipher teams up with a new mysterious villain named Dante to take on Dom and his tight-knit crew, who will be assisted by another new character named Tess. Dante and Tess are portrayed by two high-profile newcomers to the Fast & Furious franchise in Aquaman's Jason Momoa and the Oscar-winning Brie Larson, who is known for playing Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The ever-expanding Fast X cast has also added another Academy Award winner in West Side Story's Rita Moreno who joins the Fast family as Dom's abuela.
Other than Diesel as Dom, Fast X features the return of most of the franchise's familiar faces. This includes Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Ludacris as Tej, Jordana Brewster as Mia, Sung Kang as Han, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, Helen Mirren as Queenie, and John Cena as Jakob. Fast X is directed by The Incredible Hulk's Louis Leterrier with a screenplay co-written by Justin Lin, who directed five films in the franchise and was the original helmer on Fast X before dropping out due to creative differences.
Diesel unveiling the first official Fast X poster is clearly just a harbinger of bigger things to come. In his post, Diesel mentions that the first Fast X trailer debuts on February 10, the Friday before Super Bowl LVII, during which a high-profile TV spot is expected to continue building anticipation for the franchise's penultimate installment. Now that Fast X's official marketing campaign has commenced, many more exciting looks are on the way.
