As the movie's spring release date approaches, Michelle Rodriguez gives Fast X's villain some very high praise. Since its inception in 2001, Rodriguez has starred in the Fast & Furious franchise as Letty, Dominic Toretto's childhood sweetheart and a valued member of his crew. As the first installment of an epic two-part franchise finale, Fast X introduces Aquaman's Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes, the son of Fast Five villain Hernan Reyes who is now seeking revenge against Dom and his crew for his father's death.

During a recent appearance on Collider's Ladies Night podcast promoting her role in Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Rodriguez had some high praise for Momoa's Fast X villain, calling Dante the "best male villain we've had in the entire franchise." Rodriguez made a distinction between Dante and Charlize Theron's Cipher, calling her a "whole other different type of monster." Read Rodriguez's full comment or watch a video below:

Revenge with a smirk. It sounds light, but when you see [the movie], you’ll know exactly what I'm talking about. I'd say he's the best male villain we've had in the entire franchise, of course because Charlize kills it. You know what I mean? She’s a whole other different type of monster, no pun intended.

Jason Momoa's Dante Could Be The Fast & Furious Franchise's Best Villain Yet

Jason Momoa licking blood off of a knife in the Fast X trailer

With Fast X director Louis Leterrier and now Rodriguez hyping up Momoa's Dante, it's becoming increasingly apparent that the Fast & Furious franchise could have its best villain yet. Momoa has described Dante as Dom's foil who is "very sadistic and androgynous" and "a bit of a peacock" who has "definitely got some daddy issues." When the Fast X trailer revealed the first full look at Momoa's sadistic villain licking blood off a knife, the internet understandably went nuts.

While the Fast & Furious franchise has featured many memorable male villains like Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), none of them have carried as much star power as Momoa, with Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw and John Cena's Jakob Toretto the only ones able to hold a candle to Momoa in that regard, though both characters have seemingly made the transition to protagonists. Furthermore, the Fast & Furious franchise's most famous female villain, Cipher, is expected to join forces with Dante in Fast X, creating a dynamic duo that could carry the franchise's final two installments.
