Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a game that is all about pillaging and looting throughout England as a Viking as the player attempts to thwart the plans of the evil Order of Ancients. In their free time away from these activities players can also spend their time hunting for legendary animals, tracking down special collectibles, and even solving puzzles. At its core, though it is a game about being a violent warrior.
That makes it even odder that with the new update to Assassin's Creed Valhalla players are able to celebrate the holidays. The brand new Yule Festival event has Eivor and the other Vikings holding a celebration for Yule (which coincidentally takes place around Christmas) where they have a wealth of fun activities to complete. By completing certain tasks players can earn Yule Tokens, which can, in turn, be used to purchase brand new gear. This guide shows players how to farm Yule Tokens.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla - How to Farm Yule Tokens
Once players download the new update and have completed at least either the Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire arcs they will be able to access the Yule Festival event. The settlement in Ravensthorpe will be almost completely taken over by Yule festivities, and there will be a list of new side activities and missions that players can complete. Every mission or activity related to the Yule Festival will grant players the Yule Tokens. Players can purchase these items with their Yule Tokens:
- Mōdraniht Tattoos - 20 Tokens
- Yule Settlement Cosmetics - 15 Tokens
- Mōdraniht Ceremonial armor pieces - 60 Tokens
- Mōdraniht Ceremonial Seax and Shield - 150 Tokens
The settlement items and tattoos are purely cosmetic, but the armor and seax, and shield provide the player with new stats and abilities. If players obtain the entire set of armor they increase their chances of stunning enemies. The seax increases critical chance after killing an enemy and the shield grants the player increased speed when blocking.
In order to obtain these items players will want to complete different activities to get Yule Tokens. The new missions can be a fun way to collect them, but they can also take a decent amount of time to collect. The fastest way to get Tokens is by participating in the party games around the settlement. The drinking game will grant the player with 10 Tokens upon winning, the archery task will grant 40 Tokens, and the Yule Brawl will give 70 Tokens.
The brawl may give out the most Tokens upon completion, but the best option for earning Tokens as quickly as possible is by completing the archery challenge. All the player has to do is hit a certain number of targets within the time limit in order to earn 1200 points. This is actually really easy to accomplish and makes racking up Tokens a breeze.
