Without a doubt one of the most important things for a player to do in Outriders is get their hands on as much loot as they possibly can. The more loot the player has then the more likely it is that they will obtain some truly powerful weapons and gear that will help them dispatch their enemies and protect against attacks. Those who want to get ahead will require the best gear imaginable.

Getting ahold of Epic and Legendary loot isn't always an easy process, but it is something that all players will need to do if they hope to survive on some of the harder difficulties. Epic and Legendary items provide the player with special abilities and high stats that can make them incredibly proficient at defeating the enemies that they face. This guide shows players how to farm high-tier loot in Outriders.

Outriders: Basic Tips for Farming

Before looking for places to farm for gear players need to understand a few things first. One important aspect of the game is that the quality of gear that the player receives is directly dependent on the World Tier they are currently playing on. As the World Tier goes up, so too does the rarity and level of item drops throughout the world. This isn't to say that players can't find good weapons on lower tiers, but the odds of better weapons increases the harder the difficulty is.

This is also influenced by what level the player is as well. For example, if the player's character is at level 20 and they are playing on World Tier 8 then all gear they find will be level 25. This means that it is very important that players try to max their character out as soon as possible before trying to farm for gear to ensure they have the strongest ones possible.

Outriders: How to Farm at the First City

When it comes to farming for high-quality gear, one of the best things available to the player is repeating certain story missions that grant them access to gear. One of the best missions to try and farm during the early hours of the game is the one that tasks the player with reaching the other side of the river in the First City. This is very easily the best place to farm for gear early on in the game.

This is due to the fact that there are a huge amount of easy-to-kill mobs in this area that enables the player the chance to rack up experience points for their World Tier, which will in turn allow them to obtain better gear over time. These enemies will also continue to drop items as they die, so it's possible that players can get their hands on some decent equipment from running through this area.

Additionally, this mission also has three chests that the player can open up to get their hands on some good gear as well. One is right near the spawn point, another is located in the area with the first mob of enemies, and the third is near where the player kills the mini-boss. Once players have killed and collected everything they can restart and play the mission through again to rack up more experience and gear.

Another really interesting mission that allows the player to farm some high-quality gear is the Dunes mission "Find the Distant Light". Players will want to ensure that they are playing on the highest possible World Tier before attempting this farming method that way they can rake in a lot of terrific gear. Another great idea is to have a very powerful shotgun on hand because this method involves bringing down a difficult Warlord enemy.

As the player makes their way through this mission they will come across the Warlord, who will take a huge amount of damage to be killed. Players will need to pump as many shells as possible into the enemy to bring it down, but once done they have a chance to receive loot ranging from rare all the way up to legendary if they are lucky. Players should make sure that the Auto-Loot option has been activated and then let themselves die in order to restart the fight and attempt to collect even more gear.

Outriders: The Best Bosses to Farm

While there are several bosses that the player will face off against during the course of Outriders, there are only a select few that are viable options for farming in the game. If the player is looking to acquire Titanium (a resource used to increase the rarity of items) then they will want to face off against the Molten Acari boss at Eagle Peaks. This boss is relatively easy to defeat, and upon death, it gives the player a decent amount of Titanium no matter what World Tier they are playing on.

If the player is wanting to farm high-quality gear itself though, their best option is by far to go after The Chrysaloid at Forest Enclave. Even on lower World Tiers, this boss can drop Epic and Legendary pieces of gear, which makes it the best boss to fight over and over again to claim new gear. On top of this, the boss is also relatively easy to bring down as long as the player comes well prepared with a decent sniper rifle and other strong weapons. Once defeating the boss the player can just restart the mission and attempt it again.

Keep in mind that the other bosses in the game really aren't useful for farming. Several of them won't help the player get their hands on better gear, and others are too difficult to defeat quickly enough to warrant farming. The best bet is to stick to Molten Acari and Chrysaloid.

Outriders: Partaking in Hunts and Bounties

Farming Monster Hunts and Wanted Bounties are the last methods that players will have available to them, and they are very viable if the player knows what they are doing. With Monster Hunts the player will want to start the hunt and then kill the offending monster as quickly as possible. One of the best to do this with is the Wendigo in The Gate. Once the beast has been killed the player will be able to loot an Epic or Legendary from it, upon which they should let nearby mobs kill them. This allows the player to restart the quest and keep the items that they earned. Don't finish and turn in the quest though as Monster Hunts can't be accomplished a second time.

Bounties are a little bit different as the Bounties themselves don't actually drop any loot. Instead, the Elite enemies that they surround themselves with are the ones who drop high-quality gear for the player to farm for. The trick is to kill all the Elites in the area and then die to reattempt the mission. Once again players shouldn't turn these missions in as they will be unable to attempt the mission again.
