Like its predecessors, Far Cry 6 features an alternative ending, continuing the Far Cry franchise's tradition and allowing to beat the upcoming open-world adventure in less than 2 hours. This secret gimmick was originally introduced in Far Cry 4, which gave players the chance to sit and end the game by waiting for the title's main antagonist, Pagan Min, instead of escaping and battling the villain throughout the game.

Ubisoft's next installment in its first-person open-world franchise will take place on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara in Far Cry 6. Ruled as a dictatorship by the title's new main antagonist "El Presidente" Antón Castillo, players will take the role of guerilla fighter Dani Rojas, as they spark a revolution to topple Castillo and his regime. The shooter is set to add several big changes to the series, as well as a few returning features to expand upon Far Cry's original formula. These include perks with special attributes that can be equipped on different items of clothing, weapons that can be upgraded with attachments and mods, customizable vehicles, and many more that will help refine the experience.

Posted exclusively on Youtube prior to the game's release, Youtuber Okami Games has shared the alternative ending to Far Cry 6 which can be unlocked during the first two hours of the game. Upon completing one of the game's first Operations, Libertad Rises, players are given the choice to either stay with the resistance to fight off the fascist dictator or run away to America. Although the game shows the waypoint to return to the fight, if players go in the opposite direction for a bit, the screen will fade to black. Right after, the game will show the main protagonist relaxing on a beach in America a few months later, while the radio reports that the war in Yara has been ended and that "the leader of the terrorist group Libertad" has been eliminated by Antón Castillo's special forces.

Despite being set to release on October 7th, many content creators have been discovering secrets prior to Far Cry 6's official launch. Most recently, QR codes on the sides of a certain pair of crates have been found in the game, and scanning them has revealed a short six-second trailer teasing some mysterious new content. Whether this is an upcoming feature, a whole new installment, or a teaser of Far Cry 6's Villain DLC is unconfirmed, but players are expected to receive an announcement post-launch, as the title's first-year roadmap has already been revealed by Ubisoft.

As Dani Rojas is seen sailing to America to live a ravishing life away from conflict in an alternative finale, this can be considered to be the bad ending for many fans, as the main protagonist is seen as self-absorbed. Far Cry 6's real finale however hasn't been revealed, but player's don't have to wait much longer, as Ubisoft's next installment is set to launch on October 7th and will offer a way to turn the tables against the bone-chilling dictator, Antón Castillo.
