Far Cry 6's Pagan: Control provides players with new weapons and mod customizations to tinker with while playing as Pagan Min, the flamboyant main antagonist of Far Cry 4. Weapons can be purchased and accessed at the in-game Armory. However, fans must first visit the particular location and complete the correlated challenge to unlock every weapon or unique modification in Far Cry 6.

The weapon unlocks are spread out across Pagan: Control's map and players will need to travel to each one to complete its related trial. Once they arrive at the firearm's location, they will find an ornate chest with the weapon stored inside. Interacting with it will have Pagan draw the weapon and start a challenge that spawns several enemies. The number of enemy mobs will vary depending on the scenario. For example, obtaining the Bow will require players to kill roughly eight opponents, while the Grenade Launcher will demand 20+ kills. After completing the challenge, Pagan can buy the unlock at the Armory once he's collected enough Respect.

One best weapon choice that players can prioritize first is the MG21 Light Machine Gun from the Specialist Weapon Cases. The MG21, which is unlocked slightly to the northwest of the map, is one of the best earliest guns in this Far Cry 6 DLC, thanks to it being easily acquirable. With a large ammo capacity, the Light Machine Gun provides lots of firepower for an extended period and has a long reach for hitting enemies spawning in higher spots. Unfortunately, rolling mods for this weapon isn't as effective as later weapons; however, players who wish for more crowd control can attempt to obtain Blast Rounds for this gun.

Best Weapons and Mods for Pagan: Control DLC in Far Cry 6

The primary weapon players should focus on using and spend their Respect currency on modding is the MP34 Submachine Gun from the Primary Weapon Cases. To unlock the SMG, Pagan must complete the Kings Ransom Armory Challenge located on the east side of the map. As the mods are randomized, it will depend on what players prefer to stick with after they've rolled a set of upgrades for their SMG. However, a few valuable modifications that players could use are:

  • Improves body shot weapon damage in Far Cry 6
  • Short-range sight
  • Slightly reduces weapon noise | Slightly impairs weapon range | Very quick to overheat

While most Pagan: Control can be progressed through "maining" the MP34, players can further enhance their gunplay by unlocking the SSGP-54 Rifle from the Primary Weapon Cases. Its challenge is located slightly to the east of the central lake. Any mod will undoubtedly increase the effectiveness of this weapon. Yet, players should focus on getting scope improvements and modifications to help the gun excel when hitting targets further away.
