Far Cry 6 has a variety of collectibles for players to find including Criptograma chests and roosters that can be used for cockfighting. The cockfighting ring is located in the Madrugada region at Montero Farm. Most of the roosters are found in various locations around Yara, and some are available for purchase in the Ubisoft Connect Store.

Cockfighting in Far Cry 6 lets players control their chosen rooster as they attack and dodge their opponent. Each rooster is listed in the cockfighting menu and has a location clue that can be viewed. They are found inside wooden crates with a decorative rooster on the front. When players are near a rooster, the crate icon will appear on the minimap marking the exact location.

Far Cry 6 Rooster Fighting

Although there are 19 roosters in Far Cry 6, only 13 of them can be collected in Yara. The rest are available for purchase with units in the Ubisoft Connect Store. Roosters can be found before or after beating Far Cry 6. None of them are missable, so players can complete the collection and try out each rooster in the ring at their leisure.

Rooster Locations in Far Cry 6

  • El Rato: The first rooster is found beside the cockfighting ring in Montero Farm.
  • El Aguila: In Serpentino Park near the Cortina River, the rooster is at the top of the mountain. Players can fly there easily with a helicopter or Far Cry 6's Wingsuit.
  • El Dorado: The "Spur of the Moment" mission is given by the man near the cockfighting ring. After accepting the side quest, players will be able to access an underground bunker nearby. The rooster is inside the bunker.
  • Acero: This rooster is on the eastern side of Verdera on the roof of a shack.
  • Papacito: In Castillo National Zoo, find this rooster in the chicken coop.
  • La Muerte Negra: At the western edge of Segunda, the rooster will be in one of the animal pens.
  • El Pico: There's a yard with a dead pig in it at the chicken farm south of the Botanical Gardens. The chicken crate is against the back of the blue house there.
  • El Fénix: This rooster is located west of Muerte Point in the gated area in a stable.
  • La Bala De Plata: At Álvarez Farm on Vacia Coast, the rooster is on the back of a cart filled with plants.
  • Hermoso: Go to Bonilla Farm in western Savannah Fields and find the rooster in the pen.
  • El Gallo Magnifico: Collect this rooster during the "Everything to Lose" mission. Players will be given a key during the quest to open the house near the rooster, and it can be used on the door to get to the rooster as well.
  • El Huevo: Find this rooster in Mirador Cape on the cliffside of Local La Joya PFP Offices. Get into the enemy building by shooting the lock on the door or climbing in through the roof.
  • La Bestia Blanca: The last rooster will be in Esperanza inside the Casas del Lodo Residences. The rooster can be collected during the "The Last One to Leave" treasure hunt.

The last six roosters can be purchased in the Ubisoft Connect Store, but they aren't required for the Recrooster trophy/achievement. Players can use any of their roosters to fight and win pesos by strategically dodging and attacking the opposing rooster. There are many animals in Far Cry 6 to collect, unlock, or fight with such as roosters, panthers, and dogs.
