The Season Pass for Far Cry 6 was already confirmed to bring back villains from past games as playable characters, but it seems the DLC with The Father is confirmed to be filming with voice actor and model Greg Bryk posting a selfie of himself in motion-capture attire. A big point of Far Cry 6 is collaboration, and it seems this applies not just to studios but to past actors within the franchise as well.

Villains seem to be a big focus of the new Far Cry game. This year's E3 showed another, and perhaps final, cinematic trailer of Far Cry 6 that focuses on Antón Castillo, El Presidente, the main villain of the new game. He is the dictator of the fictional Caribbean Island of Yara, which is inspired by Cuba. El Presidente is trying to guide his son, Diego, to follow in his footsteps while his country is in the middle of a revolution. Players control Dani, who is working with guerilla soldiers to overturn the dictatorship.

Ubisoft announced the theme of the Season Pass earlier this month to be focusing on previous villains after speculation and leaks. In the early morning on June 29, a tweet showed that filming for at least one of the DLC stories had begun (via Greg Bryk/Twitter). Greg Bryk, who played the main villain Joseph "The Father" Seed in Far Cry 5, posted the selfie inviting his followers to "Become The Father with me," along with five hashtags, including #SeasonPass and #FarCry6, and tagged the official Far Cry Twitter account. This means Bryk is officially working on new content for the new game already, so fans should be prepared for an authentic The Father experience from the original actor.

Between his position on the Season Pass art and Greg Bryk showing that filming has started, it may be safe to assume that the The Father's post-story expansion will be the first DLC coming to the game. The other two villains returning in the Far Cry 6 Season Pass are Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3 and Pagan Min from Far Cry 4. The three post-game story expansions, called Collapse, Control and Insanity, all allow the player to control the main villain from previous games (via Ubisoft). Collapse is the DLC that will focus on The Father. Although the release date of the DLC is unknown, the developers and Ubisoft already have the road map planned out.

It is always nice when a game developer throws nods to older games and fan-favorite characters into new video titles. Seeing Greg Byrk post the selfie on Twitter makes it much more real. Having this Season Pass focus on stories from the older villains and giving fans the ability to control them is a nice way to recap where the franchise has been going. Although the next Far Cry game may go in a different direction, Far Cry 6 is sure to give fans the gameplay they are used to, a new story and characters and a little bit of nostalgia.
