In an interview with Geoff Keighley for Summer Game Fest 2021, actor Giancarlo Esposito had to choose who would win a battle out of Far Cry 6's Antón Castillo, The Mandalorian's Moff Gideon, and Breaking Bad's Gus Fring. With this incredibly short list alone, it's clear that Esposito's range as an actor is limitless. Presumably, Far Cry 6 will see the star explore a different type of nuanced villainy.

Similar to a number of past Far Cry antagonists, Antón Castillo represents a man who wields untold amounts of power. Most notably, he serves as the dictator of Yara, a fictional Caribbean island that Ubisoft based on real-world Cuba. Yara isn't all it may seem on the surface, either. As a nation trapped in the 1950s because of limited outside resources, there are countless citizens who want out from under Castillo's thumb, particularly due to the cruel way in which he throws his power around. Needless to say, the likes of Moff Gideon and Gus Fring are known to similarly employ ruthless tactics in an effort to get what they want.

In a Summer Game Fest interview (via GameSpot), host Geoff Keighley asked Giancarlo Esposito who he believes would win if Antón Castillo, Gus Fring, and Moff Gideon were to duke it out. The actor didn't hesitate to answer, quickly saying Moff Gideon would come out on top. "I think Gus is colder and displays that coldness in a very particular way. I think Antón could be the most violent man on Earth, but given his situation, he may not rise to that occasion... Moff Gideon is otherworldly. This guy thinks in a different way," Esposito noted before adding that Moff Gideon does all his own dirty work and possesses tools the others lack.

Esposito's reasoning for choosing the Star Wars foe is most certainly sound. The technology Moff Gideon owns would wipe Antón and Gus off the board in an instant. And, as the actor sagely pointed out, Moff is known for getting his hands dirty.

How Antón stacks up against Giancarlo Esposito's other roles presently remains to be seen. Still, the little that's been shown indicates the Yara dictator isn't someone with whom anyone would want to pick a fight. Players can find out why for themselves in just a few short months.
