New fan art imagines John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as Fantastic Four heroes Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic and Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. The pair can be seen as totally different kinds of heroes in Paramount's A Quiet Place, which drew near-universal acclaim and is projected for a successful opening weekend with $40-plus million at the domestic box office.
Despite the new fictional account of Krasinski and Blunt in the Fantastic Four, they were both almost cast in the actual Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain America and Black Widow, respectively. The MCU has yet to include its own version of the Fantastic Four, so it's actually still possible for the duo to become Reed Richards and Sue Storm. For now, though, fans will have to settle for an artistic rendering of the stars in their potential superhero uniforms.

Digital artist BossLogic tweeted a piece of fan art showcasing John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, respectively. Even though Krasinski is ultimately glad he didn't become Captain America, he told Screen Rant in a recent interview that he'd still love to play Reed Richards if and when the opportunity arises. BossLogic's ambitions are obvious with this artwork: make these stars your new Fantastic Four. Neither of 20th Century Fox's attempts to bring the unique heroes to the big screen have had success with either critics or moviegoers, but they also weren't connected to the timeline of the MCU mega-franchise. So, it's still possible for Marvel Studios to find itself a winner when Disney gets the Fantastic Four movie rights, if the Disney-Fox deal is approved by federal regulators, of course.
Krasinski and Blunt seem like obvious choices to join the MCU right now, with the commercial success that A Quiet Place is about to have. The movie should benefit from its PG-13 rating, although it's arguably too scary for it. But that will get plenty of fresh eyes on Krasinski and Blunt, who've already begun to prove themselves as action stars. Krasinski turned heads in Michael Bay's 13 Hours, while Blunt cracked skulls as an accomplished warrior in Doug Liman's Edge of Tomorrow.
While the two stars haven't been keen on joining any superhero franchise in the past, things are changing. With Disney potentially consolidating the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU, there will be plenty of opportunities for a new batch of actors and actresses to make their mark as superheroes. As for Krasinksi and Blunt, it will also depend on both of the stars' schedules, which are understandably quite packed at the moment.
