Newt And Tina's Marriage
It’s a foregone conclusion that Newt and Tina’s romance will have a happy ending because it’s already known that they went on to marry and have children. The pair are still together in the series’ present-day setting, with both living to see their grandchildren become adults.
The series should take fans all the way to the pair’s wedding, as the series has spent a lot of time playing up their romance. Newt and Tina keep getting separated for some reason or another, so it’s only fair that their happiest moment is shown to viewers to make all their conflicts worth it in the end.
Newt's Authorship Of Best-Selling Books
By the present-day events of the Harry Potter story, Newt’s name has become famous as the author of best-selling books, with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as his all-time best-seller. The movies have only alluded to his writing rather than depict Newt as a full-on author.
It would be interesting to see Newt compile the magical creatures he’s come across into his books to see where everything began as far as his career as an author is concerned. The final shot of the series could even be the Fantastic Beasts book itself in a Diagon Alley bookstore that Harry purchased it from.
The Wizarding World's Acknowledgment Of Newt's Skills
The public image of Newt is something of a joke, as his brother was embarrassed to be affiliated with him because of his poor reputation. It’s known that he’s acknowledged as the best magizoologist in the Wizarding World during the present day, but some of it should be seen in the films.
It can be the beginning of the times when Newt is finally respected or a time skip to show him as a celebrated wizard. Either way, fans should be made aware that Newt is far from an embarrassment in the future and that people appreciated his skills.
Newt's Visit Of Hogwarts During Harry Potter's Third Year
The end credits of the third Harry Potter movie showed Newt’s name in the Marauder’s Map, which indicated that he was visiting the school while Harry was studying there. It doesn’t seem likely that Daniel Radcliffe will be de-aged to resemble a teenager again, but Newt’s visit can still play out.
It would be nice to see the older Newt and Albus Dumbledore interact with each other at a time when Grindelwald’s threat is over. There’s an implication that Newt was there because of Buckbeak’s execution, so a future movie already has a good reason to depict his visit.
Newt's Mother's Raising Of Hippogriffs
One of the things that need to happen in Fantastic Beasts 3 is for Newt’s childhood story to be fleshed out further. His interactions with his brother weren’t very satisfying in the second entry, and it’s worth exploring scenes of their mother.
It was confirmed in the first movie that Mrs. Scamander was a breeder of Hippogriffs that she raised into adulthood. It would make for a solid flashback sequence for the young Newt to interact with his mother and realize his love for magical creatures through her.
Newt's Order Of Merlin Ceremony
By the time of Harry’s days in the Wizarding World, Newt is confirmed to have received the Order of Merline (Second Class) for his contributions to magizoology. The ceremony for this moment can tie into the aspect of Newt’s achievements being acknowledged.
Neither the movie nor book fans have ever actually seen an Order of Merlin ceremony, and it would be worth watching a fan-favorite character get their deserved recognition. According to his Chocolate Frog Card, Newt received the honor in 1979, which could be shown in a time skip montage.
Older Newt's Acknowledgment Of His Part In Fighting Grindelwald
The movies can take a page out of The Hobbit’s book to show the final scene as Newt writes the story down, which is when he can be comfortable sharing Dumbledore’s secrets during the Fantastic Beasts series. In the 2017 reprint of the book of the same name, Newt’s narration refers to Rita Skeeter’s writings.
Newt claimed Skeeter did get some things right like his involvement in the war against Grindelwald but the finer points of his friendship with Dumbledore were his to know. This can play out as part of the last movie’s climax, with older Newt narrating the events.
Flashbacks To Newt's Activities in WWI
According to the Fantastic Beasts screenplay, Newt was served on the Eastern Front to round up Ukrainian Ironbellys during WWI. The first movie took place several years after the war, so his involvement in WWI can take the form of flashbacks.
It would make sense for these sequences to come up because of Grindelwald’s role in WWII, as Newt’s role in the first war can communicate to viewers how he was affected to be in a world where everything was up in flames, and the way this affected magical creatures.
Flashbacks To Newt's Time Working In An Office
While the Harry Potter movies can be scary, the Fantastic Beasts movies haven’t dived fully into this aspect. However, Newt’s greatest fear was shown onscreen in a flashback where his boggart took the shape of a desk stacked with papers; Newt was scared of working in an office.
He’s only spoken about how much he hated when he worked for the Ministry, but it was for a significant time as Newt claimed he had a desk job for at least two years. Viewers should get to see a scene that shows Newt during his worst days because it would serve as a great contrast to where he is now.
Newt's Interactions With Luna Lovegood
As it is, the adult Luna Lovegood became a magizoologist herself and went on to marry a fellow magizoologist known as Rolf Scamander. Rolf is the grandson of Newt, who also became a great-grandfather when Rolf and Luna had twin sons named Lysander and Lorcan.
While that might be a bit too far in the future, fans would love it if the final movie has an interaction between Luna and Newt. Both are big-time fan-favorites and Luna actor Evanna Lynch will be around the same age as Luna when she got married. It would be a perfect combination of the Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter series.
