It's fair to say that most fans of the franchise that is J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World having been looking forward eagerly to the upcoming film release, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them proper. Rowling, who both created the Wizarding World and wrote the seven Harry Potter books that started it all, has also announced that plans are in motion for a grand total of five films in the Fantastic Beasts cinematic cycle to be made.

Following the unveiling of an IMAX featurette and poster for Fantastic Beasts - not to mention, Rowling taking to the Internet to defend the need for five films total in the Fantastic Beasts series - Wizarding World fans will soon be able to decide for themselves whether or not the first Fantastic Beasts film is good enough to get them onboard for four more installments. The addition of director David Yates (who helmed both the final four Harry Potter movies and this year's The Legend of Tarzan) behind the camera should help to provide for a smooth transition from the characters of the Harry Potter saga to the heroes and villains of Fantastic Beasts.

Taking to her personal Twitter account, Rowling has announced that her original screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will soon be finding its way to bookstore shelves the world over as an official publication. Printed against a black backdrop and decorated with gold lettering and imagery, the new screenplay (see the photo below) will be available to purchase as a book for superfans everywhere.

It's perhaps not all that much of a surprise that Rolwing would opt to publish her screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for retail consumption, following the runaway success of the script for the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (which Rowling developed the story for, but did not actually write) that was published this past summer. Rowlng's most adoring fans will no doubt glow over another shiny book to add to their already-substantial collection of works (books and published scripts alike) that are set in the author/screenwriter's Wizarding World.

A straight-forward movie adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is unlikely to ever happen for a handful of reasons - so for the time being, Wizarding World fans will need to turn to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to get their fix. The film is but a few weeks away from its theatrical release at the time of writing this, so we will know for certain if the movie's a hit, miss or something in-between, sooner than later.
