In just over two weeks, Harry Potter fans across the globe will return to the Wizarding World with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The film, which was written by Harry Potter creator, J.K. Rowling (her first screenplay), takes place in 1926, and follows Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne) as he tries to retrieve a bunch of on-the-loose magical creatures. It was recently announced that Fantastic Beasts would be the first film in a series of five that will continue to expand upon the Wizarding World that Rowling created nearly two decades ago.

While the eight Harry Potter films were all based on prior books, the source material is rather thin for the Fantastic Beasts series. The first film is inspired by the textbook of the same name, which was published in 2001, while the next four films will for the most part be original stories - albeit, all from the brilliant mind of J.K. Rowling. Still, the intrigue around Fantastic Beasts is largely due to the overwhelming love of the Harry Potter books and films. So, it is not surprising that fans want to know how Newt Scamander's journey will connect with Harry Potter's. Well, at least one star of the upcoming film is willing to shed some light on the connective tissue.

Ezra Miller (Batman V Superman), who stars in Fantastic Beasts as Credence Barebone, has decided to take to Warner Bros. YouTube channel so he can geek out over the connections between Harry Potter and the upcoming prequel spin-off. In the video (which can be seen above), Miller, a self-described "obsessive Harry Potter nerd," explains how Fantastic Beasts relates to to the final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

As most die hard Harry Potter fans know, Voldemort breaks into the late-Dumbledore's tomb to retrieve the Elder Wand. Dumbledore won the wand in a duel with the dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald. Well, what excites Ezra Miller is that Fantastic Beasts takes place around the same time that Grindelwald was attacking Europe. Miller teases that this may (or, may not) be connected to the dark wizard's rise to power, which understandably causes the actor to get (more than a little) excited

Ultimately, the video does not reveal much about the upcoming film, but surely is a marketing ploy to get fans of Harry Potter even more excited than they already are for Fantastic Beasts' release. While Grindelwald likely will be playing, at the most, an ancillary role in the film, it is more probable that his presence could be felt in one (or more) of the next four films. After all, with less source material to adapt, Rowling likely will look to include as many household names (at least to Potter fans) as possible. As for this film, along with Redmayne and Miller, Fantastic Beasts stars Katherine Waterston, Jon Voight, Colin Ferrell, and Dan Fogler.
