Fans think that the former 90 Day Fiancé franchise star Karine Staehle is one of the most unbearable cast members ever, and it's time to talk about why she's so disliked. The 26-year-old Brazilian made her debut on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days with her American partner, Paul Staehle. The couple had a terrible relationship on the show, which began online, when the American star Paul couldn't find a faithful partner locally. One thing led to another, and the 90DF duo fell in love despite their language barrier. Soon after, Paul moved to Brazil and married Karine, starting a brand-new chapter in their romance.
Over the last few years, the couple has had several ups and downs, and the low points have proved that they're completely incompatible. When Paul's insecurities got the better of him, Karine's coldhearted behavior made 90 Day Fiancé fans loathe her. The duo welcomed their first child after two miscarriages, but their issues never simmered down. In fact, some of the couple's most dramatic moments happened after they became parents. From disturbing accusations to multiple breakups, Paul and Karine became the ultimate example of the worst possible marriage on the show. Thankfully, the two finally split up a few months ago, ending their unfortunate relationship for good.
While the former couple has been off the screen for months now, fans keep criticizing Karine for an array of reasons. In 2021, Paul shared a video about a food can while roaming around his new house. TV Season Spoilers reported that fans were stunned by the unsanitary condition of the couple's home, as they watched Karine lie on the sofa while she used her phone. 90 Day Fiancé viewers noticed that the mother of Pierre and Ethan paid no attention to her kids, and was completely uninterested in what Paul mumbled to her. Since then, her laziness and poor housekeeping skills have led fans to throw shade at her.
On many occasions in the past, fans have also questioned Karine's parenting skills. In April 2021, rumors suggested that Karine drank beer while nursing her son. To make matters worse, Paul claimed that his wife had been drinking since she was expecting their first baby, Pierre. Later on, Karine had hour-long Instagram live sessions late at night, which many fans found awkward and disturbing. An Instagram user wrote, "She has two small kids, you can hear them in the background, and it's late at night," stressing that the video proved the Brazilian star didn't care about her kids.
However, the biggest reason why fans can't stand Karine is her personality. In the past, the former cast member accused her husband of domestic violence, only to reveal later on that her allegations were false. If if that wasn't enough, a surveillance video of the couple surfaced online in 2021, in which fans could see Karine physically assaulting her husband. The footage showed her pulling Paul by the hair and pushing him around like a rag doll. Sadly, their child was standing close by, watching his mom beat his dad. Despite Karine's glaring flaws, some 90 Day Fiancé fans wish her all the best. She is pursuing a new cosmetology career, to build an independent life in America.
