Many fans think the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 was one of the most entertaining ones because of its cast and storylines. The new season introduced seven new couples from all around the world. While some cast members proved to be winners, others just ended up being losers. Fans found Chinese reality star Johnny Chao, Hamza Moknii's mother Hayet, and Ben Rathbun's ex-wife Lisa to be some of the best people on the show who quickly became fan favorites.

While the 35-year-old Jasmine Pineda emerged as a much-admired influencer on social media, New York resident Mike Berk received backlash for his shocking behavior with his Colombian girlfriend, Ximena Morales. There were many chaotic moments on the show, but a huge controversy took place on social media. New 90 Day Fiancé star Alina Kasha's old racist posts surfaced online. After the proof of her offensive posts became public, TLC fired her and quickly concluded her storyline with Caleb Greenwood on the show.

Apart from how diverse the stories were, there are various other reasons why fans think 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 was the best. "Do we love the shows' editors or what? They sure took us for a ride," a Redditor (via CosmeticSplenectomy) wrote, claiming that the editing on the show was amazing. Many viewers truly loved how the editors showed Mike's story with Ximena throughout the season. The story was unique, but the fact that everything in Mike's relationship was full of suspense was very captivating. When Ximena was first introduced, most fans thought she was taking advantage of a "pitiable, harmless simp." However, as it turns out, Mike was the one who paid an "economically desperate s*x worker," in hopes of finding true love in return for money.

Another reason why many viewers think season 5 was good is because of the amusing twists. A Redditor wrote, "I loved this season it was entertaining!" From Gino's hat mystery to if Johnny will ever come to America, there were too many hooks in the season this time. Fans even liked Alina's weird sex-obsessed story with Caleb and were eager to know how their story would conclude. Another Redditor wrote, "Sure the racist elf got cancelled but it was amusing for all the wrong reasons. I'm not going to [sic] spell it out for you all."

Fans appreciated the variety of couples this time around and gave some of them 5 out of 5 stars. They liked that Jasmine, who is fit and attractive, finds an older man like Gino alluring. Mike and Ximena's story kept viewers on the edge as it had new revelations every week. Even though Usman Umar's story with Kim Menzies was a "repeat of Big Girl Lisa," fans found it entertaining. Ben and Mahogany also had an interesting journey on the show, which had themes of "suspicions of catfishing, religious abuse and manipulation." Overall, this season was full of the crazy drama that defines the franchise at its best. Even though some 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days fans did complain about the season being too long, it was still worth watching.
