In 2017, 20th Century Fox delivered exactly what fans had been wanting for close to 20 years — a violent, profanity-laden, R-rated Wolverine movie. But it wasn't just the rewarding blood squibs that made Logan so great, as there was actually a faithful and tasteful swan song to end the character's story arc.

Logan might have seemed like a risk at the time, but it paid off massively, and because of its success, Redditors have their own idea about which characters should be given their own Logan-like send-off. Between Conan, Evil Dead's Ash, and even Michael Scott, Redditors have some interesting ideas, and some of them have even created their own story concepts.

Conan (Conan The Barbarian)

Injured-Reserve wants to see Schwarzenegger return to one of his iconic '80s characters one last time. The Redditor is almost pleading for it, rhetorically asking, "Schwarzenegger in a King Conan movie please?" There was a third movie in the works in the early 2000s with the Wachowski sisters attached to direct, which was called King Conan: Crown of Iron.

Between the two visionary directors and the time it was being developed, it would have made for an incredible swan song. Unfortunately, that time has passed and, at this point, it might be a little too late to bring back Conan.

Ash (Evil Dead)

Bruce Cambell as Ash Williams looking concerned in Evil Dead

The Evil Dead series has lowkey become one of the most successful horror franchises. Outside of the original trilogy, there has been the spin-off TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead and a movie reboot in 2013. But while the TV series saw the beloved Evil Dead hero in his element, that wasn't enough for Callmemacready. The Redditor thinks that "Bruce Campbell's Ash needs a send-off movie or another season of Ash vs. Evil Dead."

The finale of the series ended rather ambiguously, and even though it's set 30 years in the future, fans never actually got to see Ash wreak havoc in the dystopian future that was hinted at in Army of Darkness, the third film in the series. The hero is why the Evil Dead series still holds up, and it'd be great to see the zombie killer with a chainsaw for an arm roaming around in a Mad Max-like swan song.

Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man (Spider-Man(

Spider-Man: No Way Home gave both Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man perfect endings, which also gave fans closure. But Danishroyalty still thinks "Spider-Man should get the Logan treatment." More specifically, they want Spider-Man 4 starring Maguire, which could see Peter Parker passing down the torch to Miles Morales.

However, after all of the hell that the character has been through, including getting stabbed in No Way Home, the last thing people would want to see is a swan song in the same vein as the emotionally exhausting Logan. While there's no doubt that there are at least talks of developing Spider-Man 4 over at Sony and fans would love to see it, it could do with a bit of levity and finally close Maguire's chapter in a more uplifting way.

Bryan Mills (Taken)

When it was first released in 2008, Taken took audiences by surprise, as it was one of the most exciting and entertaining action thrillers of the decade. Nobody expected that Liam Neeson could have been an action hero, and though the movie inspired dozens of mediocre Neeson-starring action movies, including its two sequels, few other films are as thrilling as the original.

AnotherJasonOnReddit thinks the series should get another shot at closing Bryan Mills' (Neeson) story. Almost half-jokingly, the Redditor even creates the brilliant title, Taken 4 Granted. They even come up with a rather grueling synopsis too, as they explain that it'll be a "bleak-and-bitter outing focusing on the angry widower as he enters his 70's and comes to terms with what little he has to show for his life's efforts."

Nick Fury (MCU)

Hurricanetrash wants to see Nick Fury in a gritty send-off film, explaining that "it would be interesting for him to have a solo movie." Fury is an interesting choice, as he's never had his own movie and has only ever served as a supporting character, and that's how he's best used. But Fury does have his own comic books on which a potential swan song could be based.

It'd be easy to say that the character has become more grizzled over the years after seeing so many alien invasions and watching so many of his friends die, which would make for a great Logan-influenced solo movie. However, all that would be true if not for the fact that he is currently in good spirits and chilling in space after having sent a Skrull to Earth to replace him, which was revealed at the end of Spider-Man: Far from Home.

Indiana Jones (Indiana Jones)

Gabrosin wants to see Indiana Jones get the send-off that the character deserves, hoping that "they salvage something from the wreckage of the prior movie." The Redditor might get exactly what they want, as the upcoming fifth movie, which is scheduled for release in 2023, is being directed by James Mangold, who was the very director behind Logan.

Though the movie has fairly low expectations from general audiences and a low bar following The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Mangold might have been a genius choice for director. If Mangold takes the same approach as he did with LoganIndiana Jones 5 could very well be Jones's swan song.

Professor X (X-Men)

Patrick Stewart as Professor X

Though it wasn't particularly his movie, Logan also saw somewhat of a send-off for Professor Xavior (Patrick Stewart), and it was a terrific, heartwrenching depiction of the character that audiences had never seen before. The character had dementia, and it was so jarring seeing the once-elder statesman screaming profanities at Logan.

Nevertheless, LA_Explorer wants to see Professor X in his own Logan-like movie. The Redditor actually has a fascinating pitch for the film, which would be "a trippy Patrick Stewart Prof. X movie that takes place all in his mind." But if that ever does happen, it seems like it won't be for a while, as Stewart is returning to the character in some form. Professor X is one of the rumored Doctor Strange 2 cameos that has seemingly come true, as his voice can be heard in the trailer.

Michael Scott (The Office)

The Office's Michael Scott is one of the most iconic comedy characters on television, and Cranestoique wants to see the character return in a feature-length movie as opposed to a TV show. The Redditor makes a great point that it's what "Ricky Gervais did for the British version of the show." What the user is referring to is the movie David Brent: Life on the Road, which follows the former Wernham Hogg manager as he attempts to become a rockstar.

Michael's story was perfectly wrapped up by season 7 of The Office, so a movie isn't really necessary. But at the same time, given that Michael Scott was so underused when he returned for the series finale, the movie could rectify that error.

Ben Affleck's Batman (DCEU)

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might have been a polarizing movie, but everybody can agree that Batman's solo scenes, such as the incredible warehouse fight, were the best parts. Out of all the Batman movie portrayals, Affleck's Batman is the most comic accurate too. And DrRexMorman wants to see a "Batfleck solo movie" with more of that grittiness. Unfortunately, there has been so much hope and disappointment surrounding a potential Batfleck movie.

A screenplay was written by Affleck himself with him in the director's chair too, and insiders who had read it claimed it was the best Batman material they had ever read. At least fans will see Batfleck once more, as the upcoming DC Extended Universe movie The Flash is doing for Batman what No Way Home did for Spider-Man. The film will see Ben Affleck's Batman, along with Michael Keaton's Batman, return in some form.

Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)

The Last Jedi split Star Wars fans into two separate camps, as fans either think it's a masterpiece or the worst movie ever made. LearnHumility thinks it's the latter, as they despise the way Luke Skywalker was portrayed, claiming that "he sounded like a middle school girl."

The Redditor lays down the possibility of Skywalker's swan song where the movie focuses on him not being quite the second coming that he believes he is. While simply repeating the same beats as The Last Jedi is unlikely, Skywalker could likely appear once again. In a way, he already has, as he appeared in the final episode of The Mandolorian season 2.
